Hey guys

Installed my new Mishimoto red silicone radiator hoses this weekend with Gates Power Grip thermoplastic clamps and they work awesome, and look even better. Check out the pic's! The pliable plastic clamps shrink and harden up once installed and heated with a heat gun for a super tight fit. Only thing I have left to do before this years show season starts is to rub the printed letters off the clamps with goof-off so they are just a nice shiny black band at the end of the hose. :thumb:

So how do you get the plastic clamps off if needed?
from Gates website.....

'PowerGrip SB clamps are readily removed with Gates' specially-designed clamp removal tool. The clamps also can be removed using a soldering iron to melt through the thermoplastic material. "

thanks Andrew! Hoping to not have to remove any of them anytime soon, LOL! And they are holding super tight so far! Pretty awesome product, and got them at JSC speed for about 45 bucks for the whole set, less than a complete set of t-bolt clamps, for anyone interested. Nice clean look for show, and according to the Gates site, these hold tight better than worm screw and spring compression clamps. I have a list of the sizes needed if anyones interested.

Cool. Worm screws are horrible. They are probably very slightly stronger than the T-bolts in most applications but they destroy the rubber and they look terrible.

Keep an eye on your hose that goes to the plastic fitting on the expansion tank. I had the Mishimoto silicone hose and that hose came off on me twice in traffic. The first time I thought maybe I didn't tighten the clamp enough. The second time I know the clamp was super tight but it still came off. I now have the stock hose there.

Have the Moroso tank installed, all aluminum there and appears to be super tight! thanks for the heads up bro!
