I have a 2.3L whipple on my 3v, and am looking to go bigger. I want a 3.4. Yep.

Currently making 667 ft lbs and 664 rwhp on 16psi on the 2.3L....2.9 pulley..im bout to put a 2.75 on, which might get me to 18psi...but ALSO, a maxed out blower...lame...motor can handle more, so i want to get it there without a 2nd power adder

You will need a custom intake/adapter to make that happen.

Good luck on finding that bro. I'm in the same boat. Once u max out ur whipple you'll have a weird boost curve. If ur wanting a bigger blower u might have to go kenne bell.

The user zuritausmc on here had a car that had a 3.4 whipple on it with a custom adapter, he bought the car that way but you might be able to PM him and find out if he knows who made it for the car.

Adam at st motorsports makes the kit, but idk if he'll still make them or not.
It seems like everybody that had 3.4's on there switched them for the KB 2.8's and ran better times with the 2.8. Weird!!

fuckin whipple..why dont they just make the 3V guys happy and give them a bigger blower??? I really don't want to go KB..I wouldn't be completely opposed to it, but, ya know...

Ran better on the 2.8s?? that is hella weird...

Hide? I now where you live...you can't hide!!!
So more power, eh? Damn. But, that's exactly why I didnt go with a whipple.
Good luck. Good to hear the belt issue is solved, finally.

I dont think its a matter of whether its a whipple or a kb..its more a matter of blower displacement...yours is slightly larger than mine, yes..but I wouldnt sell a 2.3 for a 2.6...but 3.4, shit yea.

I have a 3.4L sitting on the shelf that I'm putting on my 3v but I'm making a custom manifold for it. Depending on the results I may put it in production. I wouldn't expect anything till next fall though.

If I started from scratch I would put a GT500 blower on the 3v and then compound boost it with twin turbo's. For making BIG power out of something you can drive like a DD that is looking like the best setup to me.

I would like to see the facts that support this.

Look up ken3030 and Adam from st motorsports. They're the two that come to mind first. Ken had the 3.4 on his car while he did like it he quickly changed the kit to the kb 2.8h and is running 9.4s or 9.5s. About 4 months ago I was trying to do the 3.4l swap as well and all the info I got was telling me to go 2.8h. Trust me I'm biased towards since I own one, but the better choice I believe is the 2.8h. Unless whipple would give us the damn 2.9l.

Wow, I would have to see some hard core testing and setup information to believe that a 2.8L KB can make more power than a 3.4L Whipple.

Something as simple as inlet tubing diameter, supercharger elbow size, MAF location, TB used, etc could easily skew results 100hp at 700+hp levels.

I’m, not saying its not true. Under certain situations things could go one way and in other situations things could go another.

It is hard to believe that the smaller displacement kb would make more power than a competitive blower.
If you were talking to me, my compression is 8.97:1.....and my numbers ARE on pump gas....

What's ur power goal?? I've seen 808 rwhp on a kb 2.8h. If u want anything more than that I suggest going procharger or turbo.
I'm in the process of pulling my 2.3 and going the procharger or turbo route. It's the better cost efficient and big power way to go.
