I'm changing the fluid and it smells exactly like atf with a little burn. It's got to be dexron.

Has anyone used Eaton/GM/Whipple (same stuff) supercharger oil in their Paxton? I'll use the 3 bottles of Vortech fluid I have left but may put some GM supercharger oil in at some point.

The older Paxtons used Type F and Paxton recommended B&M trick shift ATF. If my memory is correct, Lito had the newer Paxton/Vortech fluid tested back in 2009 so he would know what the fluid was.

How often do you change it? I change mine once a year, should I be changing it more often then that?

Paxton recommends 5k miles. I had a little over that. I'd really like to use the Eaton oil I used in my Whipple. It was rated for 100,000 miles and I believe it's a better lubricant. The gearboxes of both superchargers hold 4 oz.

Yes- it's Royal Purple synthetic ATF.

Sorry I didn't see this thread earlier.

Paxton/Vortech literally rebrand regular old Royal Purple synthetic ATF and sell it as their supercharger lubricant.

Well thats good to know. Thanks for saving us a bunch of money, shit with the money you save you can change at 3k with the oil and still be cheaper than the paxton oil.
