Help make it look faster? (paint/stripes etc...)

ok, I am not much on "pimping" my ride in any form. I generally have a good idea how to make them go fast, but my wife informed me that it "doesn't look like a race car" - evidently it does not stack up to the artistry of the other cars at the track...

I am at a loss as to how best to fix this... I like the sleeper mineralgray myself, but hey, if she things I need to spice it up, who am I to say no...

So, the car needs some minor body/paint work anyway, so I was thinking:

1. 07 hood sccop
2. black stripes - but it seems like everyone does that?
3. paint the top black but keep the mineral from top of the fender down?

Thoughts? (other than get some black front wheels - yes I know, working on it... )

honestly i would forget about stripes as everyone is donig that, and dont paint the top either. get a nice cowl hood, some saleen side skirts, CDC classic chin spoiler, Street Scene Gen 1 rear valance, and some Quarter window louvers and be donw with it. i think this combination looks killer

Though I do like the heat extractor and might find the need to have one to "extract heat" when all is said and done, the cowl doesn't do much for me...

Polka-dots FTW

I saw a pretty convincing cow print at the track last year...

I hear you on the stripes - in a perfect world, I'd do it without hesitation, but I see a lot of them and they are getting tired - though up in this area people don't do much with their cars, so I see lots of plain stock V6's

I must say on the black, I am not liking the idea to another single inch of black paint to care for - I am even thankful the Vert doesn't have a painted roof!

But I do like what it does to this car when you put a darker color on top...

i like the idea of an aftermarket hood. make it carbon fiber, although expensive, it'll add to the look and it should look pretty good with the color of ur car. u could always do an alternative stripe, such as one that looks like the foose/boss stripe down the side of the car. u can also put on side louvers, side scoops, the back window slitty thingys.



and don't forget to add a really super big wing. don't all racers have one? :beat:

I'm thinking shave it entirely, if this car is going to have an antenna it can be mirror/window mounted...

I like the 2 hole recessed heat extractor hood more than the multi-scoop in the pics above...

Whaddya think of the black on top scheme? Or is that what you meant by "your colors"?

ur colors meant something looking like what is attached. I don't personally like the black on top cuase it covers the hood and the roof, but doesn't go down to the trunk. now if u wanted to do black on top it would need to come down quite a bit further than what u had pictured. I would say have it come down to the body line that lines up with the front corner of the hood...

This is how the first silverpoison used to look like, I neve spended any money on any parts. Only a pait job. My current car is black and I am doing as we speak a steeda cowl hood and a rear spoiler delete, I am also shaving the rear fake gas cap. I am still undecided on the wheels, I now that they will be black but I am in beteween the FR500 and the bullits.
