Nice to advertise this for folks.....but I wouldn't buy Kooks if they came with a free blowjob from a Penthouse centerfold bitch.

American Racing Headers!!! FTW!!!

American Racing is a work of art though but kooks is just as amazing.

07stanggt, who post on moddedmustangs.com
is the vendor for Radmustangs. Seems like a real down to earth guy. He can usually get people good deals.

Nick used to the THE main fabricator at Kooks and got tired of being called a shop hand and treated even worse. He started American Racing Headers and hasn't looked back since. Great guy and I've used his advice on plenty of cars. If you get a chance to look at the new Cobra Jet Mustangs from FRPP check out the headers. Nick did them and is the supplier to FRPP for that project.

thats awesome! I herd he had a hand in that mustang not to long ago either. Good for him too. Its nice to see Ford using a good vendor for something like that. Only wish it wasn't stamped as ford though/

Like I said, he makes amazing headers don't get me wrong. I do like kooks as well.

He built a set of stepped headers for me back in 2001 when he was at Kooks. Nobody else would even consider doing it. "Modulars don't need a stepped header." Pig fuckers. Nick and I talked about it for 20 minutes or so and he put the steps right where I wanted them along with the tube lengths I wanted in each step. Then he added the merge collector that was a bit longer in overall length that I drew up. When I put them on the engine they picked up 38 horsepower and shifted the torque curve down 600 rpm across the curve. Just like I wanted. Never forgot how Nick was willing to build whatever I wanted no matter how whacko it sounded. When Keith Keplinger told me who did the headers on the CJ car I had to pop the hood at SEMA and look at them.

It doesn't include the mid pipe though!

Actually it was 799 for gt500 long tubes and mid pipe. I sold the two sets I had and the sale is over. At that price it didnt take long to move them

As for the comments on the quality of Kooks, no engine builder or tuner would say kooks are no good unless they were just in bed with another company.

Kooks and ARH really are not comparable. Kooks are more of a mid length header and very tune freindly. You can run kooks long tubes with no tune. You can not run ARH with no tune.

Anyway to the OP thanks for posting the link. And sorry for the confusion on the sale price. The other links i see posted are to 3v headers and that wasn't what the original post was about.

WHAT?!? PLENTY of builders and tuners WONT work with kooks due to CUSTOMER SERVICE and QUALITY! i could explain how my situation worked with them but why not read HUNDREDS of other bad reviews from one of the TOP car/drag racing websites in the country? www.yellowbullet.com

what does it really mean that kooks dont require a tune? think about it, they dont change the exhaust flow enough to warrant a tune! is that what you want to spend your money on!!! shit that is the same a factory!?! you can get CAI's that dont require a tune also, they COME WITH A RESTRICTOR! WOW, HOLD BACK THE POWER!!! so for the same money you can get ARH that MAKE SO MUCH MORE POWER............you need a tune.

http://www.yellowbullet.com/forum/showthread.php?t=86699&highlight=kooks

took years for one person to have his headers fixed by kooks. they NEVER EVEN OFFERED TO make good on my deal. my headers DID NOT fit, i called and called, was told my car was wrong, not the headers,"our headers are made on a jig, they are never wrong we are always right" your car is messed up," it had a couple thousand miles on it btw....then kooks changes the jig!!!!!! guess the F**K WHAT?!?!?! it was the jig that was wrong the headers DID NOT fit and they did NOTHING for the thousands of people who bought them, absoulty NOTHING! and georgr still was defending kooks in th YB.com thread!!!! ARH headers fit WITHOUT ONE SINGLE PROBLEM. i will be ordering a set for my new 08 GT after xmas too. qualilty is one thing, Customer service is what you really want to look for.

Never had any problems with customer service from Kooks. Fit and finish are excellent. Gave me good increase in power while N/A and working great F/I.

Im sorry im new here. But do you know this your yourself? Or are you in a thread about a sale on a product bad mouthing it based on the fact that a person that doesnt work for kooks anymore, now works for a competitor for an unkown reason, and he told you this to sell you something. He could also be a disgruntled employee, or he just needed to make a sale.

Kooks has an unlimited lifetime warranty and find me one actual problem someone has had with Kooks?

Personally, I've heard great things about Kooks headers! I just don't prefer them for my car since they are a mid-length header, and I'd rather have full length long tube headers. There are many satisfied customers out there with the Kooks, especially for the S197 platform. I will say that I would love to have some American Racing Headers on my car (Best Headers out there for S197), but can't justify spending that much dough for them!
