What have you done to your mustang today?

I installed some hot rod cams today. Install was easy and pretty straight forward. Overall it took me about 5 hours and thats including the 30 minutes it took me to find one of the bearing caps i dropped haha. I ended up jacking the car up and feeling around and found it sitting it the control arm. I definitely feel a difference with the butt dyno. Its a little wet and icy so i haven't had a chance to really open it up. Only issues are a surging idle when rolling up to a stop. Most of the time is will surge twice between 450-900 rpm and then settle around 850 rpm. Sometimes it will continuously surge between those rpms until i take off again. When it does idle consistently it never drops below 800 rpm even though according to the tune its set at 740 rpm. Im going to call Brenspeed Monday and see if they can try modifying the tune. Anyways here's a short vid i took. First rev is to about 3k rpm and the second rev is a blip to 3k rpm and then to about 5300 rpm.

And I'm not sure why, but my car used to do that surging idle when I would reflash the tune until I drove it a little bit. Was worse in the cold weather.

I drove the car for about 20 minutes and went through several key cycles to see if anything changed but it didn't. I tried reloading the tune a second time and had the same results. If Brenspeed can't figure it out or it doesn't stop on its own i will be a little annoyed but i'll be getting a dyno tune in a few months when i install a FRPP intake manifold and larger throttle body.

I drove the car for about 20 minutes and went through several key cycles to see if anything changed but it didn't. I tried reloading the tune a second time and had the same results. If Brenspeed can't figure it out or it doesn't stop on its own i will be a little annoyed but i'll be getting a dyno tune in a few months when i install a FRPP intake manifold and larger throttle body.

My breakin tune did that. Made breaking in the new clutch a little funner! Final tune took care of it.

Let me know if you get the surging idle problem fixed. Mine does the same thing with Detroit rockers I installed like 3-4 weeks ago. I haven't had time to call brenspeed.
