No argument there.
I got it because it was a buck and a half on clearance.
I know why now.
Anyway got my good stuff in today.
More 1Q.
More Blue Note.
Also got some on the MacBaren Cube.
Good Stuff and sweet but not too sweet. I think I am going to like this the more I endulge. Kewl Box it comes in too.
Also got some MacBaren Mature Virginia.
This was a nice change from the Aromatics I generally smoke.
Naturally sweet and a medium strong strength. This is a pure tobacco without the casing. I think I will really like this as a between the Cavendish's, and Fruity ones.

Cleaning / Sterilizing Pipes

[FONT=Verdana,Arial,Helvetica][FONT=Verdana,Arial,Helvetica]Here is FYI about pipes and cleaning.
Especially if you have an Estate Pipe you dont know where it has been or has gone sour.

I made a retort as described on the Seattle Pipe Club site.
I had cleaned my pipes with Isoprophyl and standard cleaners and rags. Thought they were clean as I could get them. Then I put together a retort and figured I give it a try. I first used Iso again with it and got some more gunk out. Then I ran and got some denatured alcohol and tried it with that. Big difference in what came out. The denatured was much better to use for sure. Now I need to recreate the cake in my pipes but what a difference in them. I would highly recommend a retort for a good cleaning. I was into it 8 dollars including the alcohol (Qt).
Denatured was easier to use than the Iso also. More predictable when it was going to boil and less volatile also.

Well I ventured into the Rope (aka Twist, Spun, and Hand woven) tabaki realm today.
Which is the Oldest form of tobacco manufacturing FYI.
Interesting to look at.
The wife says it looks like a turd. Well it does.
cedf0b90.gif

The pic is from another site. Mine is actually darker and more like a Marmaduke leftover.

Anyway now I got to learn how to prep it.
I am trying a Coconut from Gawith Hoggarth that so far what I have tried has a mild cigar aftertaste. Actually sort of a nice Twist (no pun intended).
I will update when I figure this out.

Well after tryin the Twist out several ways I came to the conclusion that it aint fer me. At least the Coconut one I tried.
It tastes ok (Not like coconut though) but too much like a cigar for my taste.

Also tried a new store brand from a new local called Smokers Delite (Chain Store). It was a very dark Cavendish that I wont buy again.

Funny what these Franchise Stores (aka Head Shops that sell cigarettes) call Pipe tobacco. Cavendish's are Fermented and Cased tobacco's.
Seems any shop in my area that sells any Pipe Tobacco (Which is very little) always has a Cav. But they dont realize that Cavendish is a processing description and not a flavor.
Yet ya go to a real tobacco supplier like Mars Cigars or Cup of Joes and there ya find the correct descriptions.
Should be the first hint they dont know what they are selling at all I suppose.

Oh well got a bowl packed and ready to light...

Big ass state shaped like Texas
And thats why I dont do a lot of shit or go places as I mentioned. But, thats crap, I shouldnt have to just to avoid smokers. If I want to see a concert or shit like that, I shouldnt have to stay home if I "dont want to be around smokers". I shouldnt have to close my patio door on spring or fall nights when I want the cool air in because the shitbag neighbors are partying and smoking. You werent BORN smoking, so theres no need or reason for it.

I have no sympathy for your "persecuted" status, since, as I said, you werent born that way.

I was.... :evillaugh:

Clove cigs, FTW!!! those smell good, at least for people who say, "oh, pussyfeathers, my poor lungs and olfactory receptors can't dare take any of this nonsense!!"

Utards and SB 228

Internet Sales of Tobacco products to be made illegal in Utah.

Senate Bill 228 is a disgrace to Utah and a direct affront to the freedoms of people in this state.
I find the Utah Senate passed it without any na's recorded.
I discussed this bill with my senator many times prior to passing.
I wish to point out the simple fact that quality pipe tobaccos cannot be purchased from retailers in this state.
Utah contains nothing more than head shops that sell cigarettes.
I had no choice but to mail order in any quality pipe tobaccos I may wish to consume.
Might I add as a LEGAL activity in this nation.
My senator also voted Yea for this bill.
I can assure you that I will not support him in the next election.
I refuse to support any representative that would vote for restrictions of the freedoms of citizens of this state.

I would disagree with the premise that Utah is losing tax revenue from Internet sales of cigarettes.
The tax revenues lost if any are so small that simply trying to enforce the rule would
cost more than the revenue gained.
This would be a net loss to the citizens of the state and waste of resources.
This is why the state does not enforce the sales tax for Internet purchases now.

Secondly the requirement for a retailer to become Licensed to sale item in Utah is ludicrous.
The fee required from the state is far to high to make this a sound business choice.
Internet sales are far too small for the individual retailer to justify the fee.
And most sales of the Tax Free cigarettes are done from reservations that are tax exempt.
This bill should be challenged in court and once again the states citizens are on the losing end.
Imagine attempting to tax the sale of cigarettes sold at the federal installations in Utah now.
If this bill is passed it would require the same restrictions be placed on the Federal properties in
the state now. Would it not?

Control of age for purchase is also a misnomer.
This bill does not restrict the sales of tobacco products to minors only.
But requires a Face to Face transaction.
It is obviously an attempt to restrict any sales into this state.
All retailers I am aware of require the purchaser to verify their age and that they meet the state of residence
age restrictions.
Is the state of Utah to assume it's citizens are dishonest?
I would surly hope we would be innocent until proven guilty.
Underage buyers rarely if ever purchase from the internet anyway. A credit card is generally required for purchase
and those of underage status rarely possess them.

This plainly is yet another attempt to restrict the citizens of the state of Utah from doing what is considered Non Politically Correct.
Yet is still a legal and enjoyed form of recreation for many of us.
A choice we make of our own free will and guaranteed by the constitution.

It is unfair, unjust, and absolutely a violation of my freedoms of choice.

I have written my State Representatives and Fight This type of legislation.
I would highly recommend you do the same and stop this type of nonsense fellow Utards.
Also I would seriously look into the Interstate trade laws of this nation.

Well Utah just passed the law.
Restricting Interstate Trade is against the Commerce Act.
And a violation of the U.S. Constitution.
However I sincerely doubt that anyone will do anything about it.
Since it will require large amounts of money to challenge this in court, Utah lawmakers
know that nobody will attempt to take on the States pockets.
Once again the minority group will have yet another Right taken from them.
It is a sad day for sure for those of us behind the Zion Curtain.

Got some more to try and here are some short revues.

MacBaren PlumCake Navy Blend - Ribbon cut - Tinned
This is a contradiction IMO. It is sweet and Cigarish (Just a hint), yet has the Oriental aftertaste. Not sure where the name Plumcake comes from but I dont think I will get more in the future. Just not my taste.

Boswells Berry Cobbler - Ribbon Cut - Aromatic- Very high quality tabaks in this. No stems or anything like that in it. This is a hand blend exclusivly from Boswells. It is very bery and smells great. Taste is very sweet and rather enjoyable. Room note does tend to remind you of the namesake. I think I will continue to enjoy this more and more.

I am not sure but I think Huntsman vetoed this.
Status of bill is listed as:
Enrolled Bill Returned to House or Senate

I think that means it was Vetoed.

It was a Piss Poor law and written horribly.

Right On if he did.
