Guys,

Gal backed into my car.
Replacing 1 fender, fascia & hood.
Stripped the striping off the rest of the car.
Striping left a line of I'm assuming sticky where the edges of stripes were.
Used a clay bar on a small section of the sticky, it worked.
Gonna clay bar the entire car, which brings me to this.

Should I clay bar everything that isn't getting repainted, then take to body shop?
Should I wait until I get car back from body shop?
When will it be safe to clay bar fresh painted surfaces?

You guys see where I'm going with this.
How should I handle all of this?
I need some guidance.
Thanks!

The body shop will likely buff the whole car in order to make the paint look uniform in sheen after they finish the work. Some will even lightly wetsand the car to remove alot of the OEM orange peel so there won't be two totally different visable textures. I'd wait and talk to them.

You took the red stripes off? Say it ain't so! I think your car looks so good with the red stripes. That silver/red combo just pops, IMO.

Yup, the combo never grew on me.
I bought the car used, 7910 miles on it.
When you buy used, you don't get to pick your color combo.

For the moment, I'm going with solid silver.
I have a silver ROUSH windshield banner to replace the red.
Leaving the ROUSH fender badges on.
G/F got me a set of staggered 19" gloss black wheels for Christmas.
Anything else chrome on the car either has already been powdercoated gloss black, or is getting powdercoated gloss black.

What I'd really like is the ROUSH hockey stick on the sides of fenders/doors to extend up and over the top of the fender and across the hood, connecting it all the way across.
I'd like it in gloss black.
There's a guy on the ROUSH forum that does vinyl that has the program for the hockey sticks already on his computer.
He'd just have to adjust it to go from one side of the hood to the other.
He's in NC so I may just go see him and do it right there.

We'll see...........

^^^That sounds like it'd look really good. Kinda along the lines of the 2013 Boss stripes. Gloss black over silver would be hawt!

Exactly!
Subtracting the section of stripe that goes from front to rear of hood.

I've even thought about letting my painter put some ghost flames on since he's gonna be repainting the front end anyway.

Just don't know which direction I wanna go.

I have a silver roush and I'm struggling with color combo!

I hear ya, bro.
I just think it's hard as hell to find much of anything to go with silver other than black.

Yup!
That's the guy I was referring to in NC.
Didn't know his name or company name.
He posts on the fnsweet forum, that's how I know about him.

Thanks for the additional info!!!
