At least the thread is getting some attention, but is anyone interested in the dyno day? Yes SVS stand for superior volvo service, but they have a shop in the back with the dyno, have not seen too many chevy's in their, but mopars, and a few older mustangs. They don't have the SCT or diablo software, Tony does, we will just be using their dyno.

I did a dyno day once and wouldn't recommend it unless you have some kind of more exotic combination that the guy doing the tuning knows a lot about (and you probably are already getting a custom dyno tune from the guy you bought all the exotic stuff from anyways). On a NA motor, these guys have the mail order tunes pretty much nailed down and you won't see enough of a performance boost to justify the cost and I don't need to strap my car on a dyno for $50 just to get a printout saying how much power I have. I think that is why you aren't getting much interest in this kind of thing.

actually I have plenty of mods, and am dropping from a 3.8 pulley to 3.4 and also want a 100 octane tune. Tony currently does my tunning over the internet, but I thought it would be fun to get some of us mustang owners together for a day. Plus I would personally feel more comfortable get the tune with Tony in person because of the pulley size change and 100 octane. Its not necessary but it would be nice. And if your from the Sacramento area, you already know there are no shops out here that can tune worth a sh!t. Not that it matters but just an FYI, if you go to sac raceway when its open on Wednesday nights I have the black 06 mustang GT with the Saleen SC. Current running 12.3's @ 115 with a 1.87 60ft it is usually the fast 05+ stang out there, shoting for 11.5's.

Sounds like a good match up for Mr. Roper.

That's funny Mr.Roper from Lodi, I am pretty sure I know who he is, I talk to him at the track all the time nice guy would mention his name but I won't do that on the forum. If he thinks about it I am sure he knows who I am. He has the Red convertible, whipple, roll cage, run M&H DR's. Last time I saw him at the track was mustang madness, which I won BTW. My car was down almost all summer with transmission problems, which is why I have not been out, last time I was at the track was the being of November, but will be there on Jan 1st.

No one has answered the original question. Are you interested in the test, tune, dyno day? SCT and diablo tunes, Tony has a ton of experience and knowledge with FI and turbos. And yes I know I posted this in the tech forum, but I did that to get some attention. I may be a newbie here, but only here. Here is Tony's website: www.hp-performance.com

One last thing to Mr.Roper, how is your buddy's yellow vortech 05? did he ever get that thing working?

Yes it is Bret! Nice to run into you again! And yes I will be at the track on the 1st just not sure which class I want to run in. Street is fine, but I am think the next class up which is a money class. How about you? "f"ing car was down from mustang maddness until September with trans problems, on a good note though the 1st time I went to the track with the new clutch setup I won am lane and knocked .22 off my time because I could shift.

LOL, I wondered if that might be you but I thought you were a Brenspeeder.

SRP - I'm hoping to be there also. I was thinking Sportsman but they cut off at 12.0, next step up would be Pro, I'm hoping they'll let me start in Street Machine and then let me upgrade before eliminations.

Back to your o/p, I actually told Ted to check it out and he is researching HP-Performance. I think he's gone through every hack-tuner there is in NorCal. I know other recent dyno-tuning sessions were attempted but didn't get off the ground do to lack of interest. Those were with Doug/BamaChips and Adam/STM.

Start an introduction thread over at the Pitsop and post some pictures of your car.

Thanks, I will start a new thread in the pit stop area. Let me know what Ted thinks, we are pretty close on having enough people to get Tony out here.

Sounds good, I am going to have Tony start taking deposits this week. $100 to hold a spot refundable if we don't get enough people to come out. Here is his phone number: 904 276 7223
