Awaiting delivery of my SC, correct me if I get this wrong.
With 3.8 pulley, there is no fluttering and BOV is quiet? If I want to hear the boost release, then I need to replace the stock BOV with a greddy adapter and the tial 50mm q? Is this right?

I feel, like many others, that the Maxflo valve shipped with the kit is too small and overall a subpar product when compared to ProChargers Big Red and TiALs Q valve.

IMO, the two things that should be replaced before install is the reservoir and the valve.

big red is overkill for the kit, It's all noise and actually anoyoing at times. I know a lot of vettes that run it but they are making upwards of 1000 whp and 20+ psi of boost.

our cars with a 3.8-3.4 pulley are fine and the maxflow is more than enough for the paxton kit. I am sure an engineer for vortech already tested the boundaries and capabilities of the valve.

I dont like the amount of flutter that comes with it... And since I dont have a warranty anymore, Im being cautious.

And there is no such thing as overkill. Period. It's Man Law, look that shit up.

If sound and riding around making more air noise from a car than exhaust is your thing than more power to ya,

function over sound in my book.

Everyone posting in this thread has build threads of their own on here most using the kit are way north of 650 whp and all are in the 10 sec times or better ... Stretch I believe is closing in on 9 sec barrier

Thanks I know a few are running 10's on the 3.8 but with a boss intake and slicks and skinnys

I'd take a lazier 91 octane tune with the 3.6 pulley if it was safe, just run 93 as a safety net. If it would get me 600+rwhp through an auto and stock intake

I tell you what that red race valve sounds intimidating with my buddy's cogged f2 procharged Mach 1.

Not sure it's the best for a daily driver.. Cool for a weekend cruiser though..

People break there necks looking at when he comes through town at a cruise.

Too much, is almost enough.

Trust me on this one, it will begin to annoy the hell out of you at some point. lol

A friend of mine had GT with a Procharger F1a on his car with the big race BOV and it was fun to play with the first few days. After that it was just straight obnoxious and caused problems. People complain in traffic, attracts law enforcement and just made the car unpleasant to cruise after any sort of time.

Im sure you would achieve your goals on stock intake...not all these guys are running boss intakes and they are in fact hitting tens and over 600 rwhp on 93

My car is a daily driver 6M with SW catted LT headers and retro chambered exhaust with stock manifold to which my Paxton with 3.8 pulley and JLT CAI will be installed. Basically a stock setup. Before reading the last set of comments, I was leaning towards the stock BOV. Now I'm undecided.
