I don't doubt the Paxton is a better head unit. My point was that the Vortech V3si makes far above 600 rwhp.

Just for giggles, any time anyone is in Ohio with a Paxton...look me up. LOL. We will get it on video with time slips. There's nothing like racing at the same track and same conditions. Everyone is faster when internet racing.

The v3 with a 3.47 pulley is a very efficient unit, tony has proven that.

the paxton isn't a "better" head unit, but it does have more growing potential

My car went 10.20's on the stock pulley and stock short block, headers with stock exhaust, stock suspension. There are plenty of vid's and time slips of it posted too. This was on a very very mild tune. I didnt feel comfortable pushing the stock short block.

Did you get ID injectors for $4K? Obviously theres a huge difference there.

id's aren't that much, especially for guys that buy kits from me, and / or forums members!

DTony I'm up in midland Michigan..

I'm getting the beefcake special soon.

Who did your tuning?

Beefcakes package comes with a remote Lund tune hopefully it can get my full weight base auto stock converter to 133!

I'm thinking about going with the 3.6 pulley right off the bat.

These 3.43 pulley guys are making me wish e85 was available in my area.

Hell if I could get away with a good tune on the 3.43 pulley and 93 it might be worth the gamble I hardly drive the damn thing still has the factory fill oil in it ,

I've got a leaded 110 pump 2 miles away and it's only 6 bucks a gallon.

My last Ysi cobra was running on a straight 110 tune but it went through plugs like crazy. With Alternative auto tune Lidio probably had it a little fatter then most

very fortunate to have that at the pump, we can get aggressive with that tune then, lol

Definitely let me know when you come this way. Kilkare is redoing the track and has some good racing programs now. They are 15 minutes or so from Dayton. We can hook up for a night at the track.

How are they with cage rules? I don't have one and really refuse to put one in. That's why I try to stick to outlaw tracks. But being kicked off tracks is getting old.

Stretch drives his car fine with a 3.4. For track he mixes in 104 unleaded. You could just order ms109 or shell urt by the 5 gallon can for 65-80.

And I come to_Ohio a few times a year. We can do that after my next round of mods. Which will be headers, 3.55 gears and tune from triangle.

I go to Dayton area.

Or meet in bowling green ky

My car is tuned by Jeff Chambers at CRT Performance in Norwalk Ohio. I have tried others before going with him and was not satisfied. He works with me with any issues I have and listens to me when I explain what the car is doing. We have been through a lot of dyno time and many on track data logs getting the car to run flawless on the street as well as the track.

My only reason for tossing the Vortech info in this thread is to let everyone know they perform quite well also. Obviously the Paxton works, look at what people are doing, but it is quite easy to get a Vortech in low 10's as it comes or high 9's with 1 drop in pulley size.

You will get a few runs in before they get on you. Usually it takes 2 or 3 to grab their attention.

Thanks. Just depends on when we end teach. Usually thought isn't till Dec 17th for Holiday break. Another reason I miss TX. All year racing. LOL

Well after taking my time on the install and ironing out the vacuum leaks I had, this car is STOOPID!!! Now I need to get some bigger and better tires so I can see what traction is like. Thanks a lot to JPC for everything. I'm sure Eric and Aaron will be glad to have a day go by where I don't call. Lol. And thanks to Gizmo for the help with the BAP and to everyone else that chipped in on the info. Still haven't opened it up all of the way just yet but I finally hit 650 miles on the car.
