A little over 2 months ago I ordered my Kenne Bell 2.6 kit from Sean Hyland Racing. At first Wayne was working with me on my order because Sean was out of town getting ready for MFF week. The only reason I ordered from Sean Hyland is because Wayne stated " Sean Hyland Racing is the ONLY autorized vendor that has the authority from Kenne Bell to sell and ship one of their kits overseas", plus they offered me a 5% military discount. I was like sweet, sounds like a good deal! So anyways I pulled the trigger and paid for the kit in full on November 1st. Wayne told me that all KB would have to do is setup my tune and have it shipped to Sean Hyland Racing. Wayne said it should take no more than 10 days for them to recieve the KB kit and then they would ship it out to me.

So I let 2 weeks go by and gave SH a call just to see if by chance my kit had arrived yet. I call SHR and I speak with the receptionist (Jodi), she proceeds to tell me that Sean and Wayne are both not in. I told her why I was calling and she said she would give the message to Sean because he was now in charge of my deal. I thought sweet, Sean Hyland is working my deal, the owner, so I know Im in good hands. A week goes by, I havent received one call or email back from SH. For the next month I called SHR at least 15 times trying to get a status on the kit. Finally, last week I call and Jodi transferes me to Seans line. Sean gets on the phone and supplies me with the 2 delivery confirmation numbers and then states" this deal should have never happened, we don't give the 5% military discount on KB kits and Wayne didn't know this while I was out of town. I acctualy lost money on this sale". So I got off the phone with Sean, punch in the confirmation numbers to find that they shipped the kit a couple days prior to that phone call (Dec 1st). I thought ok, at least my KB kit is on the way. Let me remind everyone I paid and additional $175.00 for shipping at the time of sale.

Turns out, SHR shipped the kit expidited PARCEL. They didn't even send it air mail!!!!!! My dad shipped me an air compressor which weighed over 80lbs and it was in a huge box. He mailed it USPS Priority Mail and it arrived in 6 buisness days for 48 bucks. Anyways, Im thinking about disputing my credit card because I still haven't recieved it to this day. I only have 60 days from the date of sale to dispute the charge and that will expire in 4 days.

Im just really unhappy with the customer service of Sean Hyland Racing at this point and dont even want to deal with them once the kit is installed or if it shows up incomplete or damaged. At this point I just want my money back so I can order from someone else. Im willing to ship it back to them out of my own pocket. So, the major question Im looking for an answer to. WHAT WOULD YOU GUYS DO IN MY POSITION????. Sorry for the long post, just need some input. Nick

Thats what I was thinking. I just called my credit card company (Chase) and they told me they would credit the charge back to my card right now if I wanted them to. I told Chase I would give Sean Hyland a chance to refund me before I blindsight them with a dispute.

Man thats good to here Chase is taking care of you... I have a Chase card and it has to be the best I have ever had... I got rid of my BofA card and the MilStar card for the Chase card... Best customer service...

SHM on the other hand I had crappy customer service when I was SHOPPING for an engine... They treated a potential customer like crap...

Sean did the B heads and cams on my 1996 Mystic, in 1999. Dang, I hate to hear this. They did a fantastic job for me. Though, I must agree, dispute the charges. There is no reason to wait that length of time for a product.

So, you are getting your credit back on the card... and then what? Have you called Kenny Bell about this? I had an issue with a distributor once, I called the manufacturer and explained my position with someone that they had let promote their product. The salesman I spoke with apologized, looked at that distributor's discount matrix and gave me their cost on the item and shipped it free of charge. If I have multiple issues with a distributor, I kindly contact the manufacturer and explain the situation. The last thing the manufacturer wants is bad product press.

Wish I would have read this before I paid

Before you buy it is a good idea to go to a good tech site...like this one and ask. Do a Yahoo or a Google search on the company and you will find good info to help you make your decision.
Are you going to reverse the charges?

By the way...expect the package to get to you anytime. If it was mailed o/a 1 Dec via Parcel, with all the holiday mail to Europe, you will receive it in 4-6 weeks from mail out date.

Jodi at SHR told me that when she called Canada Post that they told her Expidited Parcel would take 23-33 buisness days just to get from Woodstock, Ontario Canada to the APO in New York. So, chances are, it hasn't eben made it to the APO in New York yet. Thanks for the heads up though. Nick

After 3 weeks i would have told them to go to hell, the people you are dealing with obviously dont care about you or your situation or even earning your business, because I know myself (whom works in sales) if someone had spent 5k++ of there hard earned money my ass would make sure they got awesome customer service and that everything that was said and promised was followed through with to the T. IMO I would do like posted earlier and contact Kenne Bell's customer service group and explain to them your situation and everything and I can promise you KB is going to contact the people you dealt with and straighten them up. But get your money back and deal with someone who actual cares about earning your business.

it prolly cost them 20 bucks to ship it like that and thats how he made up for the 5% discount he gave you. assholes. Call KB directly. Pretty sure they ship overseas.

Stick with the KB. But like someone mentioned earlier, I would contact Kenne Bell and let them know what happened. I bet they give you a pretty good deal on a direct buy so that you dont have to go through this again. KB or whipple are the way to go in FI...in my limited opinion.
