That's incredible! Too much money for a mustang though!

Not worth anywhere near $200k. I'd build my own.

+ 1.. I want to know what parts they have in it.

is it still the stock engine? head work? cams? which SC? all on pump gas..

wait a year and find a 13' for 48K.. hehe...

Unless they have put an IRS and a ton of money in the suspension all it will do is fry the tyres and put non driving rich idiots in the ditch or worse. If you can get it to hook up it would be a hell of a drag racer.

Keep in mind, these cars have everything upgraded that you can possibly upgrade.

Also keep in mind, if you are a company that needs to make money on building cars, you have to build in room for warranty stuff as well.

I agree, it is just a Mustang. However, at the end of the day it is still a 1,200 HP vehicle that can be purchased, raced, driven on a weekly basis and be taken back for repair if something were to go wrong.

It is definitely possible to build a car similar to this for less money, same can be said for any car that is a "tuner" or modified version of a stocker.

Some people may not believe it, but Shelby American is doing well with these cars and selling many more than you may think.

Oh, and they come with a very nice suspension set-up. :thumb2:

Car looks great.

I for one would buy a factory Cobra Jet for $98K and race that---but that is not street legal like this one is. But at a cost of the car ($60K) and packages STARTING at another $155K on top of that, it does seem a bit overboard. Thats $215K for a mustang.

I need to figure out which total dingbat at Shelby came up with the idea to use hydrodripped, fake carbon on the radiator cover, fuse box cover, valve covers, cowl, and cai. Then I'm going to fly over and punch that person in the throat.

Twice.

I'd like to see what it would do by disconnecting the front sway-bar....adjusting the shocks and struts, bolting a 28-29" slick and let it rip on race gas.

If it truly makes 1,000 rwhp, it would/should run some fairly healthy ET's.

The whole idea of "warranty" goes out the window with that price tag.....Know how many 1000hp cars you could build for that amount? Atleast 2 lol
