Will yours work with a racecraft mount?

Our parts are designed to factory spec, so they will work with any other parts designed around factory spec. (bolt sizes/lengths)

I mean that if/when I get a new UCA I'd like to keep the OEM mount

Well, at one point and time we were the ONLY company who could claim that our 2011+ UCA would fit the factory 2011+ with a stock mount.

I still don't fully comprehend this. Are you saying, our arm won't fit the factory mount? Are you talking about the clunking if you use any aftermarket arm with a stock mount?

I stopped keeping up with what companies were doing, but the last time I knew anything about the Steeda design, it was not a direct fit on 2011, they used the 2005-2010 Style UCA with a modified Mount, like almost everyone else.

NO, I just didn't really wanna go through the bother of changing out the stock mount.
If there's gonna be noises and /or other unwanted issues, than I'll either replace the mount too or just don't bother at all with even doing the UCA

But i am interested in what the benefits of this would be over using just your adjustable upper control arm with the stock mount.

Honestly. The mount isn't that bad once you've done it. Been there twice now on my 06 and I could do it with my eyes closed now. The only part that truly sucks is the bolt on top of the differential. Helps big time to have a second person there.

I agree. I should have done it with another person but was too anxious to get it done.

I put a screw jack on the axle input end so I could articulate it up and down to get that bolt in easy.

I also used a screw jack to hold the gas tank up so it could be lowered down. The only thing I would do differently next time is wait till I have less than 1/8 of a tank of gas. A full tank was a nightmare and was a dumb mistake on my part lol.

I had half a tank when I did mine last weekend.
I was able to remove one strap completely and let the gas tank rest on a jack while I unscrewed the other straps bolt about halfway out. then I could slip out the whole mount with the arm attached. ford loctite is really a bitch but I can say the install went well.

I am just trying to be helpful and figure out what you are saying.

Keep in mind, every single aftermarket UCA requires either a custom spacer/washer OR an aftermarket Upper Mount, to prevent "clunking"

Although I am not a fan of it, I do have many customers running our UCAs with the Steeda spacers, and they appear to have no issues.

Gabe, I found it easier to just install the UCA with the mount as one piece. The Mount installation itself is super easy, just take your time. A company typically builds their adj. arm to match their mount to fit perfectly. The stock mount isn't a terrible piece but it isn't great one either and I feel it to be a bit "flimsy". I would feel more comfortable buying both the mount and arm together, from the same company as they're built to fit each other. Just my 2 cents.

Concur; did the Whiteline UCA/mount at the same time.

Good luck doing it separately. There isnt room to get the bolt securing the arm to the mount out and even if you could forget using a torque wrench when you put it back together.

Put my arm and torqued it on the mount outside of the car! Only way to go.

I just lowered the stock mount and bolted the steeda up to it. It was a little tight but I work in some tight areas for a living so I guess I'm used to it.

Most of my suspension is BMR, but I used a J&M upper, it was too good of a deal to pass up
