Newbie here

Somewhat new to the site, I've been reading posts for a while to get me some good info. I will be going turbo in the next 3 months (haven't decided which kind) and my current mods are: CAI, tune, 4.10's, and axle back for a 07 GT man. What should I start to get in order to be ready when the time comes. My goal will be a DD around 400 hp, with some strip time. Thanks for any insights

I don't have a turbo and there are a lot of good ones, but I have delt with PowerHouse, and their customer service is super. Mike is a great guy and knows his stuff! Now, 400 hp won't stimulate to many crainal nerves, but you can always turn it up to blow a pupil! Good luck in your search! Could not resist the neuro stuff.

Spoke to Mike at Powerhouse today...in fact speak to him every week. There are lots of very good complete kits. I have only dealt with Powerhouse so cannot make any comparison with others. His post sales support and service are amazing.

I started with his base kit, 67mm which is good for 450 to 675 rear wheel depending upon how far you want to move away from stock. Since upgraded through Powerhouse to a 76mm.

Turbochargers deliver vicious torque and typically rear wheel torque is greater than horsepower. Freaknazty, a mate of mine, who posts on this site, has the Powerhouse 67mm on his daily driver and can attest to its potency. Think he dropped 1.5 seconds in ET, first time out at the track with the turbo with no other changes.

With your modest HP goal I would recommend the kit from THP. Jim is great to work with and will build you anything you want. The power house kit is also a very good kit and Mike has service second to none.

Sorry, I should have clarified a little bit more on the hp, 400 or so when its a DD, and tune it for fun at the track (gotta stimulate that amygdala with the fear response!!)

The mod bug is killer...I had a CAI and tune ready before I even bought the car! Haven't done anything to her in about 10 months, so the itch is back!

Thanks for the info on the Powerhouse...I have been looking at them and also Turbonetics...I think I would like to go with one of them.

As far as buying a whole kit or doing myself-I have all the required tools available (via step-dad!) and his knowledge...but I'm not sure which route I really want to take....does the cost benefit outway the benefit of a complete kit?
