Glad to hear you'll be rolling soon!

Thanks Mex, and good to hear from you again!

To bad I put it in and the pump seal is leaking. Out again tomorrow to have talk with my buddy about the time wasted today! LOL

While it was only two hours from start to crank, I don't like laying on my back!

I plan to put it back in Sat.

Back in business!

I pulled the trans today and after removing the TQ is was very obvious there was a leak there..

Next I was like WTF, we replaced that seal. And after wiping it all down with a rag and taking a quick break for lunch, I knew exactly what the issue was. I came back and the was fluid coming from the bottom of the pump and case. I grabbed the bolts and could turn them with my hand!

Obviously my buddy didn't torque them when he was buttoning everything up the other day. After looking on line, I found the needed to be torqued to 18-20 ft lbs and that is what I did.

Trans is back in now and works very well. I feel I should have just done it myself at this point and will next time if needed.

Oh well everyone makes mistakes...

Good to hear it was something simple. Now you are going to become a transmission specialist.

Thanks, and yes it looks like it.

I would have torqued the bolt anyhow! LOL

I mean what the hell, it is just parts that need to be out together, The first time I built a mod motor was the first time I built a mod motor.

With everything you have done to your car, nobody can argue that.

It might have to go that route, for now all I will say is I FUCKING hate my trans right now. Going to check into my trans tuning with the TCS before
I say anything else. :mad2:

Are you ready to say any more?

Well, after a couple Jack and 7ups I calmed down some. First thing I will say is the trans is fine and I have put about 50 miles on it today. Problem seems to have been one of two things. Number one is the trans was 2 qt low on fluid, with the dual 16 pass coolers at the rear of the car and the -8 lines that go to and fro along with the the small diameter of my filler tube (making it hard to read) it may have taken a while to clear the tube or may have had air in the system making me think it was full. Number two is the modified trans tune I was using last time at the track. I had raised the WOT shift points, while doing so I had also raised then lower settings as well,. This was causing the car to act up. Shifting in and out of third harsh while on lite throttle.

Either way the trans is full and the TCS tune is back to my original settings and everything seems to be fine for street driving. I'm going to get back to the track and test some real load this weekend.

Sucks to have done all this street testing on C16 though $ ! LOL

without reading back through, are you using a shift controller, like the optishift? You know, there's 2 'tunes' you can have on there. I use a different one for the track, with different shift characteristics. For the street, I use a tamer more reasonable street-tune.

I have a Baumannator on mine. I do have a street and race tune. I just was raising the shift points last time at the track and raised the 0 and 1 throttle positions a well some how. This may have even been the reason I was thinking there was a third gear issue I don't know for sure though. Either way it was a good thing I opened the trans now and caught the issue with the OD band and rev drum since the band was showing the rivets and they where making contact with the drum. That is what caused the damage there. The third gear issue may not have been caused by trash in the VB or may have just been the bad tune adjustments.

Dallas Raceway T&T Friday? I owe THE MAN (Lito) a datalog and I need to replace a squeaky (Whipple supplied) idle pulley but I would like to hit the track this weekend....

It's really going to depend on how my day goes Friday if not Friday night then Saturday test in tune while they run bracket racing.
