Planning a Ford Racing “Aluminator” Build with associated mods over the winter

Fexplate Installed

Broke the burs on the Flexplate holes with a 5/8” countersink.

In accordance with ARP instructions, ARP Ultra Torque Assembly Lube was applied under the bolt heads and medium strength blue thread locker applied to the threads. Bolts were tightened in a criss-cross fashion to 70 ft-lbs with a 16mm 12 point socket while securing the crankshaft bolt with a 19mm 12 point socket and long breaker bar.

Engine made it safely to DaSilva Racing (MATT D’s shop) for the swap.

I soooooo want a custom set of the Moroso covers with out the VCT openings and some AN fittings for the pvc. Might start making ints for Fathers Day...

Engine Swap Progress

Delivered the transmission back to DaSilva Racing after cutting the OEM overflow hose that dumps into the torque converter area and installing a -6AN line. The new -6AN line will be cut to length once the location of the Canton Transmission Expansion Tank part number 45-000 is determined.



The traditional and obligatory empty engine bay shot only with a twist, taken from the bottom.
