Best cai for 12' 5.0 stock

I think the first part I'm gonna upgrade on my manual mustang 2012 gt is the cold air intake. I heard they can up 30+hp at tq. What is the best cai for hp/tq gain out there? Thanks

Its my personal opinion that a cia doesnt really give you anymore power, whats providing the power change is the tune afterward. A tune with stock cia will most likely get you same power on a stock 5.0

CAI are mostly for looks on these cars, lucky to see an actual 5 hp gain. The gain is from the tune like others have said.

Tough out this thread and read a little bit or a lotta bit. Like others have said this has been covered but ill break it down for you...


Stock one has proven time and time again to be just as good as aftermarket.

So if you want one really badly than get the one that will look best under your hood. If recommend the PJ carbon fiber one for sale in the classifieds section.

There's a ton of good info you just gotta dig brotha.

Sounds like your mad he has actually tested and gave real world results with no bs. No oh jlt/steeda/aem blah blah best ever. Something that we can really go by other then over inflated magazine articles and vendor hype.
