I don't use Instagram foolio! Lol. I use PS express app for the dramatic effect

But, in all reality, I wipe my engine bay down probably once a day, not even joking lol. I even repainted my coil covers and redid my entire blower and pipes because of a small knick...

It's an OCD curse... Don't judge me. :roflmao:

Too late, DARREN!!!!!!:chainsaw:

I can relate to the OCD. I noticed a tiny nick in the paint on the tube that connects my intake to the air box and went through the trouble to rotate it a bit one day when I had it out anyway. It was exhausting.

You rotated it? That means its still there... How can you sleep at night? Fix it for me please, because now it bothers me...

Haha yeah, as an afterthought too, like "I might as well, since I already have it off..."

Same here on the wheels comment.

Ok I will try this again if I can not get the help in this thread I will make my own. I have tried searching here and other forums, but I still can't find the info I need.

Can someone please tell me how to install the roush boost gauge. Please don't say connect the red to an accessory power source and yada yada ya.... Just in plain english connect the red on the boost gauge to the _____ on the ______. Connect the blue on the boost gauge to the ______ on the _______. Connect the white on the boost gauge to the _______ on the _______. Connect the black on the boost gauge to the ________ on the ________. The vacuum line is already teed and hooked up...

I have the wiring diagram.

http://1.cdn.lib.americanmuscle.com/files/69137-manu.pdf

and would like it to be white at day, and blue at night.

I am just having a hard time understanding where and how to wire these.....

I wish I knew the actual wires in the headlight switch but that would be best spot I'm thinking; especially if you want a dimmer. If not just do an add a fuse in passenger fuse box

If your looking for a switched headlight source, pop the switch assembly out (don't forget the 8mm screw) find the connector directly behind the headlight switch. If I'm saying this correctly it's the farthest right(passenger side) wire on the top row. It's a switched on source, and controlled by the dimmer.

I'll snap a pic of my set up tomorrow for you so I can give you the exact wire color.

As far as a key-on source in the passenger kick panel, I'm blanking on the fuse number but... In the middle row there is a relay or something, I don't remember honestly, but the second mini fuse up from that relay is an empty key-on 12v power source. It had a 10 amp fuse in their though. I just added a mini add-a-fuse. Again I'll verify this tomorrow at some point with pics.

Black just goes to a ground.

Sorry if I sound a bit unclear. It's real late, and I'm beat, was just trying to help you out quick.

^^ good advice; the way Luke and I did mine was we used a multimeter, stuck the red side of the mutlimeter into each of the pin connections while having the black side of rthe mutlitmeter pushed into the black wire. You need the key on/headlight on to look for a 12V source. I can't remember which one we tapped into either, sorry, if you have a second set of hands to assist with this it makes it a lot easier.

Once you figure out which one is the power you will need some small gauge speaker wire, either a soldering iron or wire connectors/heat shrink or wire nuts to cut/splice the boost gauge wires into the stock wiring harness.

Ok. Sorry had meetings all morning, very busy at the office. Hopefully these pics will help.

The big white-ish connector behind the switch is where you will be tapping into.

It is this wire. I'm pointing to the pin with a pen.

And trying to get a close up so you can see. It is a purple wire with a white-ish stripe.

As far as the fuse box, here is where I placed my add-a-fuse. You can look up which fuse number it is.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any more questions and I'll help if I can.

Side but related question for you Paxton owners- Has anyone raced a Roush TVS car with their Paxton car?

There is a pretty good debate among Roush/Paxton owners which supercharger is better for a street car, particularly the 6M cars. Obviously you can go fast with both at the track. The auto Paxton cars really seem to fly, but I'm more interested in street behaviors and 1st hand experience from actual owners.

The focus of a lot of the debate comes from the RPM/torque differences. With the TVS having instant torque at near idle, versus the Paxton lacking in the torque department.

Can't comment on a Roush TVS added to a 5.0 but the RS3 is limited by the tuning. And as far as the 2013 GT500's go, it's a close race but I pulled a fender on a slightly modded (pulley and intake) one until 145 mph then he started to walk away. After I finish my 466 ci Fox project car I'm planning on building a motor and switching from Paxton to a Kenne Bell or a PD style supercharger to get the added torque.

So you have found the torque difference makes a difference. Interesting.

My Paxton has always been above 500 ft lbs, since day one. I dont consider that lacking

Certainly, but at what RPM? A PD blower will make it much sooner than the Paxton. What I'm asking is it a big enough difference where a Paxton car falls behind.

In my experience, a centri car will make less on the hit, but make up for it on the big end if the race goes long enough. A PD car will jump out hard on the hit (if it hooks).

Yeah. That's what makes cars move and PD superchargers just make more of it. As far as my tune and dyno session went, I'm tuned somewhat conservatively and I'm still on the stock pulley and I put down 465 tq. I would have loved to seen more but I knew going into this that the Paxton wasn't going to put out the same as a KB or TVS. I hit max tq at 5500 rpm.

If I had to start all over, and build a whole new car from scratch, I'd still get a 2200. Just my opinion though.

I did a ton of research on PD vs Centri when I went FI ...theres good and bad to both but in the long haul a centri just was a much smarter option. At the time I could have bought any system I wanted...I looked long and hard at the whipple and after finding out the torque numbers it was easy to see that the initial shock of all that early torque usually results in blowing the tires off and much more shock on the bottom end... something you don't really want on the street and something that's a lot harder to overcome...seriously boost comes in around 3k and that comes pretty quick in 1st or second gear with a centri
