Cooling system issues?

Just drove the car and got the coolant temp up to 220*

Parked and checked hoses' temps.... The radiator outlet hose is NOT warm to the touch, and the radiator inlet IS hot to the touch.

Earlier, I diconnected the filler neck and poured water into the top of the radiator.... water almost immediately started coming out the degas bottle. To me, that says flow into the motor is blocked.

Anything (reasonable) that could block coolant flow into the engine besides the thermostat?

Could be just a bunch of junk in the radiator. Pull that upper hose and see if you see anything obvious. If it doesn't look too bad, probably thermostat.

Go ahead and replace the T Stat. I would also look into renting a Cooling System Vac Pump to get all the air out!

Absolutely. We have a crazy nice one here at work that puts a vacuum on the system then uses the vacuum to fill the system with new coolant.

I've been looking to buy one for outside of work activities. Any idea where to get a decent one that doesn't cost a fortune?

The Snap On Unit runs about 260.00. That is the one I have. I know that there are some generics on the market for between 119- and 180.00 or so.

Mine seems to be only when AC is on
No AC it stays around 200.
I need to find time to check the T Stat

That's exactly where I'm at, with the difference that I'm at 206-210* without AC.

If I blast the heater, it'll stay around 192-196* with outdoor temp of 70ish.

Is it safe to say your problem isn't air ??

Well Im still not sure
I changed my 2 slim fans and flushed the system out . Im running 80/20 mix
My issues started after turbo build and the stock fan change
If I run on the highway with the AC on the car runs 210 with it 90 out.
in Town with AC its 235 and climbing when I shut the AC down.
My issue now is that its cooled off outside , So hard to get another base line
when its 70 out, the car never gets over 220 with the air if I recall
