Finished up the install of my new FRPP wheel bearings with ARP lug studs. Used an open end but then capped it with black spline lugs so I wouldn't have exposed threads.

Great idea capping them with spline lug nuts, looks nicely finished!
So the spline lugs are also threaded on the studs?

Did you have to replace your bearings? If so what was your indicator? How many miles had you rolled up?
Yeah I had to replace them. There was a grinding noise coming from the wheel and when I jacked it up, there was some play in the wheel. Tie rods and ball joints were solid, so that left the wheel bearing.
Yeah I put open ended lug nuts and torqued them all down, then capped it off with the black lug nuts. You can't even see the open ended lug nuts without looking closely.

I did the same thing to my car when I had longer studs up front when I was tracking the car. nobody even noticed the front lugs stuck outa little further than the rear ones and I ran them like that for over a year. I hated the exposed threads also
