Sweet Jesus that idle baker :naughty1:

Today I 'shopped mine.. my tint ticket has me considering going fish bowl, switching out the peeling black bullitts to silver cv3 reps, painting brembos silver, switching to sportline springs, taking off the fake scoops, louvers, fuel door, adding agent 47 mirrors, powered by ford emblem.

Or I could just pay the $190 tint ticket and be on my merry way.. but I am kind of tired of everything being black. This is how it sits now except with brembos and black lugs.

What color are you Brembos now? I may have a silver set coming my way here shortly.

Dang, I was hoping they were black. I was gonna offer a trade! I do like the silver with the new wheels on your car. Much better looking.

God, I would love to get some cams with a lopey idle like the hot rods, but I just can't take the hit in gas mileage. They are one of the best mods for a N/A setup but when my friend installed his, the gas mileage was basically cut in half. He was also running really rich all the time, so it smelled like gas in his car. That should be able to be taken care of with a proper tune though.

Where in Ohio BakerJD?

Yeah. When I installed my 127500s the same thing happened to me with a bama tune. 3 or 4 revisions and they couldn't get it. Got a tune from justin at vmp, and my mileage was 17-19 in town and 25+ on the highway.

I have HR cams FL headers O/R H pipe BAMA tune and I still get better than 20 hwy mpg's. And 15 or better city if I keep my foot out of it. But who has that ability ;)

I'm in Alliance.

On the way home, I got 22mpg highway. I have 4.10s as well. I say go for it. Terry @ Street Lethal Performance did the install and tune (just outside of Youngstown).

Yes I have 4:10s as well. The HR's won't kill your mileage unless you run the hell out of all the time.

I say go for it too! You'll love them.

I got the 4.10's and HR's too. Gas mileage went down a little but I still get around 20. Just installed a FR manifold and BAMA's tune SUCKS. I hope with some data logging we can get the issues ironed out or it may be due for some dyno time

Drove what should be the final gas tune for my BBB (Big Bore Boss). It's pretty well nailed down. Drives as well as stock, combined (mostly city) mpg is in the 16's. At some point in the future I'll get the highway mpg tested, it should be in the low 20's.

For those of you having issues with Hot Rods and mpg I'd suggest another tuner. There will be a little bit of a drop but not as drastic as what has been reported recently in this thread.

I'm always surprised that those who don't have a good local tuner don't contact lito. He understands modular motors and how to tune them properly based on actual feedback from datalogs.
