Well put, so many people say it will never be the same again because they don't know what a good body shop looks like.

Body wise I agree. Mechanically I disagree. The shock from an impact of that magnitude can cause underlying damage. Like off set the motor just a little so it wears the trans quicker, or vise versa. Just my way of thinking. Easily wrong, but I wont test it.

Is that you getting out of the car with your helmet on?:roflmao::roflmao:

and I wouldn't trust the body shops around here, they couldn't paint, match, and fix a micro-scratch much less crumpled up metal and twisted frame parts.

If you find a shop that does high quality work and not some hack to repair it, I'd keep the car. If repaired properly it'll be like new. I don't know why people insist on propagating the myth that the car "will never be the same again". Put that shit out of your head, get it fixed right and enjoy the hell out of it.

I spun mine around a couple of years ago on wet streets at a whopping 35mph and it needed all kinds of cosmetic shit plus a hood, quarter panel, both bumper fascias, rear glass and a new rear end assembly. I've had the car for two years since the accident and it's still good as new. I paid extra for them to strip the entire car and respray it and the finish is perfect. The only thing I had to take it back to the body shop for was to re-aim the headlights.

This has been my experience as well. But when it comes to sports cars, I won't take the chance if I have a choice.

It's a joke. Not a dick. Don't take it so hard. :thumb2:
