You can use the Wiesco, your machinist will just have to take it to .030 over before the final hone. What is your fuel system going to be?

I just want to have room for another rebuild on this block if need be. I can feel comfortable with the Ross'. I am going to be running Bobby's old triple Fore hat with 3 GT super car pumps and Bosch 105s. Still returnless for now though. The hat has the option to run return style though.

Yes it should. I have made 700 on my GT500 kit w/ BAP and 80s. Still have a little room left.

I don't have a problem with them, but have heard that the extra fuel needed with E85 helps with some of the faults the 80s have.

I have been thinking about going to Bosch 1000cc injectors.

Those are nice. Not sure I would do a 2618 piston in a car driven as much as yours though

I have to say that my current motor has 2618 and they are fine. I let it warm up to a coolant temp of 80 prior to driving. My other motors were 4032 with a fairly tight ptb clearance. The 2618 Diamonds in my motor have .003" ptb.

How do the 80s idle and everything? I think I can find a better deal on the 80s than the 105s

If you have the money go ahead and get the Bosch 1000cc injectors. They are just shy of $600 from Greg and Bobby. Buying them now saves you from having to buy them in the future.

I've had three sets of 80's. Don't buy the bargain SD80s on ebay. If you get 80's I'd suggest a set of flow matched from fuelinjectorconnection.com They worked fine from idle to wot for me with e85. The bargain ones were too inconsistent from bank to bank for my tastes.

I'm just curious, why go with a tripple hat over say a double with a couple 405's or 465's?

Agreed. Aren't supercar pumps 255s? 3x255=765 verses 2x465+930. I went with a gt500 hat putting 2 465s in it.

Yeah but how much do you have in that system? I'll have about the same as an aftermarket hat by itself. This is a budget build. I don't want to have a grand in a fuel hat and pumps.

$125 for the hat via BruceH and $260 for the 2 pumps. So $385. I do have 2 255 pumps to try and get some money back as well.

You will have to run return style before those dual 465 will stretch their legs. Plus your wiring. This hat will support more if I want it to. It is the same hat that 05Stroker is running will dual 465 And a 255. This hat has a lot more capability than a stock GT500 hat. The triple 255 will support 1000+ on pump or 700+ on E85

True, but I could make this hat return, I don't see any reason to go to return, though. The wiring doesn't look hard since lethal sells the connector now. I agree you have more potential but is it need for 6-700 on e85?

Have you ran the GT500 hat with the twin 465s yet?

Sometimes the price is right on things too, so that plays a part in a purchase, correct W3bb3r04

No I haven't. I have measured everything and seems like it won't take a total hack job to make them work.
