Are you having someone install:

boss intake manifold
frpp coyote exhaust cams(mini cobra jet cams)
Boss tensioners
boss valve springs
boss intake tube

If so, who? Are you going to have True Street in McKinney tune it for you?

Also, are you going to port your heads?
I will have true street install the cams, tensioners, valve springs, and long tube headers. I'll install the manifold and intake tube. I'm gonna have a local guy named Kevin Dunn tune it for me. I'm not gonna port the heads either. This is cobra jet replica cam that frpp designed to fit it the stock get heads. It's 11mm with a 290 lift.
Holy crap, what an invoice! ....I am jealous. Especially since a lot of that is on my wishlist.
thanks man. I don't usually have that much money, so I wanted to make sure I bought all big expensive stuff and the basic suspension stuff all at the same time

I talked to Jason and he turned me onto True Street. Great bunch of guys. I am going to have them do my startup tune then get it down their to have them finish the dyno tune.

I still need to order some long tube headers, but I'm trying to find a used set.

You should see if Vorshlag will swap out your front control arm bushings for the Whiteline anti-dive kit.

Jucostud,

Just wait for your front bushings to crack and then switch them out. You should have the mooney to replace them by that time.

Ok so today's results were good and bad. Bad is I only managed 3 place in Novice. I think 8 cars ran this class. Good news is the course was so damn fun! The middle straight you had to shift to 3rd resulting is some pretty fun speed. I picked up 5 seconds from my second run to my last. First run was just a walk threw pretty much. It was really hard to lay a clean lap down today. I think I hit a cone almost every time out. My fastest lap I hit two cones, but I don't really care right now because I'm still learning to drive and when to turn in so I can save time. There was some gravel on the track which got pretty bad later in the day as it kept building up around the corners. I'll post some vids up in a little bit and hopefully you guys will agree that I got better from last weeks video.

i'm uploading the video's now so it will take me a minute to post all 3 and for the video edits to show up. If the video's are too long, watch them again later when the edits take affect.

First video is when i got off course :). tried to drift and realized those skill sets haven't been given to me yet lol.

This was my best run of the day, but i still left a lot out there. this was the first time i shifted into 3rd instead of trying to ride second and i picked up 3 seconds.

This would of been my best time of the day but you can see where i hit a patch of gravel and it made me plow threw a corner. Even with the loss of control I finished the run 1 second slower than my fastest run... go figure. who knows what time i would of gotten without the gravel slide :/

The correct way to usually think about these things is not how fast you would have been if the gravel hadn't made you understeer. It's how fast you would have been if you had realized what the gravel would do and had slowed down enough, or trail braked, or had otherwise effectively used weight transfer to overcome the gravel.

Remember, the gravel is a disinterested party. So is everything else on the track. The only thing that can make your car go faster is overcoming those obstacles, not blaming them and wishing they weren't there.

From the videos it looks like you got backsiding the cones in a slalom firmly in your mind now, just don't be afraid to do it to other cones. I would add some line work to the list of things to do as well. There is a couple of places where choosing the right line would have killed some time. You are learning though which is good! :)
