/\ Full removal of the inserts??

On a side note, I used 3m spray fabric adhesive for my inserts. Holding up somewhat okay for the past 2 months. I noticed the passenger side (which I used very little spray) is slowing peeling off again. Guess you have to be generous with the adhesive spray because my drivers side is holding perfect (I sprayed a lot on this side).

No they are base model door panels with the shaker option I found on ebay. I was in the process of stripping them when I found those

sorry to bring up an old thread but I fixed my sagging panels(actually came completely off) using the 3M. held for about a year in the florida heat but I am over having to fix it every year!
Anyone ever tried using a type of bondo/body filler and smoothing out the plastic and using a vinyl with a pattern on it? I want to cover mine with matte black digital urban camo. I just dont know what kind of body filler/Bondo to use on the plastic

You can strip them down like the picture above and then wrap them

Not a bad idea, but if you have a change of heart go look at my new thread. I had mine professionally done in Suede.. I'm in Central FL as well and I can shoot you the business info. He does 2-3+ stangs a week..

You can also take them to a body shop and have them fill primed and painted. I did mine myself, painted to match the outside along with my center console.

Any pics? I like that idea

Sorry for the dark pics but you get the idea. Also like I said It should be done professionally. I did it myself because I do bodywork and had access to professional tools (air compressor, high build primer, DA Sander,) and a SHIT load of elbow grease lol

^^saw those the other day. may have to do the same thing.

They just came in. They look pretty decent. Glue that comes with it is pretty weak so I recommend finding something else. And it isn't a super perfect fit. Works well enough but definitely wouldn't win any awards!

Would love to see pics!

Not the best picture and the panels need to be cleaned. The edges of the insert don't cover the whole area the leather used to be. Doesn't really follow the shape of the door or sit flush in all areas. But it definitely looks better than the shitty leather falling down!

The way Ecilop4165 did it looks 10000000x better

Interior has enough cheap plastics, changing the the door inserts to plastic seems counter intuitive...IMHO

My thoughts would be to take.the.original panels to a shop and have new leather applied to match.
