Who makes the best turbo grinds custom?


After alot of research and reccommendations I went with Mark at Bullet Racing Cams. He is their mod motor guy, he asked me a ton of questions about my car before finalizing specs for me.

Yeah, I was pleasantly suprised. I expected to pay alot more than what he quoted me. Nope they use billet cores.

Interesting. Gonna have to keep in mind...

I keep debating turbo vs. supercharger. At this point, the plan is a DOB supercharger. It will put my GT right up where I want the power range, until I have the funds to rebuild. Honestly, it would be stupid for me to have mroe power under my foot.

My primary interest in a cam is the sound, without creating issues with boost. I would keep it simple and go with a Thumper cam, but have heard they can hurt boost applications.

I used my comp 127350 to 750rwhp with my dob tvs... that is where the cams started to drop off but my vct was locked with tfs adjustable crank gears only retarded 2°. Torque was silly down low for the m122 and just about right with the tvs on that setup. With the 127350 and the m122 I would use Limiters had I done it over as big end was weak w
And the low end was too aggressive locked out. The tvs has a different efficiency range (more power up top) so that combo worked great with that blower

127550 is probably the cam you want. It's going to work na and with boost. It also has a cam sound.

+1 but have not personally used the 127550 but should still be fine for streetcar etc

I haven't had them in my motors either. I do know folks who have them and the gains they had. I think the sound is pretty good, it's not like a hot rod but it does lope.

Lunati has some interesting 3v grinds too. You might want to look at their offerings. They have a good selection of cams that will work with 26113 springs. Those springs are phaser friendly.

Just to throw another setup up into the equation. Lol how about muthra thumpr's with a turbo setup? Been trying to sell these cams for a month or so to finish buying every little thing I end for the turbo build but since no one is interested I'm thinking about putting them in for then hell of it or is this a bad idea?
