I got spectra brand breathers identical to these from a parts store. No oil spillage at all. No oil in the intake.

One for the intake manifold and one for the intake tube itself if your application has it.

do you have to mod the pcv system inside the valve covers to use these effectively ?

No i just stuck them on mine and a cap on the intake manifold.
