Hear what about Eibach? It all sounds pretty standard for high end suspension stuff to me.

Mainly their lack of technical knowledge about their own products. I realize that's kind of par for the course, but it's still disappointing.

To clarify, my experience was a customer service issue, I haven't yet received the R2s.

The best thing an aftermarket company can do is be thorough online with descriptions, and I think that ground control does that well for example, most people don't want to learn the math that goes into making a shock, but even if ground control sells off-the-shelf konis they do a good job at clarifying how spring rates will feel on your particular car. My experience with this comes from an E36. Ohlins might be the opposite of clarity, but I would guess they are a larger company with longer history of good reputation. I drive an S2k with the factory clubsport suspension, and it was the best I've ever felt. I wish aftermarket manufacturers would do the full engineering routine of making perfectly matched spring/damper/sway combos that are NOT adjustable. The problem would largely be solved.

Vorshlag also is clear when it comes to their own products, and I hope they chime in with more about Moton and MCS

I'm not trying to pander, but this forum could be the most helpful I've seen, after coming from LSXs, RX7s and E36/46.

...AST is out of the picture until their new dealer gets set up, and their stuff isn't available for the time being. I really hope they get their act together in Holland and start making 4150's for Mustangs, because they're really, really great for the price. I would buy them again 10 times if I had to.

Not so much the price winner any more. Looks like the new distributor raised the price and they cost the same as the MCS now. At the same price point, I'm recommending the MCS over the AST.

Aw that blows. For 2200 they had a winner.

Well, as far as I can tell, Moton is no longer imported into the US and I have no idea if they are sill manufacturing parts at all.

Motion Control Suspension is going gangbusters. Their normal 2-week delivery time got stretched out to 6-7 weeks at the beginning of the season, and they are doing some R&D on new platings for their housings, but I expect them to be back to their 2-week delivery time after the season starting hump is over. They have been the most reliable damper company I've worked with when it comes to build dates, custom orders and parts that are resistant to abuse. They get two thumbs up from me.

Bilstein parts have also been great to work with, but they are a huge, slow company and getting info, or sometimes even new parts from them is difficult. We end up ordering a lot of parts and doing our own testing on them so we can describe them accurately.

Maybe I missed this part. What's the story on the MCS stuff? Links? Features? Pricing? I would like to check them out.:beerdrink:

Old Moton folks, they're in Atlanta, which is cool, and they source some stuff from Germany as well, which is also cool.

I've seen several sets of MCS things, and they're beautifully made, better fit and finish than my AST's. They've got some cool features too, I especially like their internal double adjustable system. If I didn't like my AST's so much I'd look for an excuse to get some MCS's....

So are the 1WNR's the ones that are the "new AST's"?

New to the mustang world. Does Penske make a set of coils over for mustangs? I had them on my open wheel they were excellent . Easy to rebuild and setup.

Yeah those are neat adjusters. You don't have to climb under the car to adjust compression. So these dampers require less maintenance than other high-end setups?
Modernbeat, have the MCS needed rebuilding since you switched from AST with all the track time you ran on them?

No. We don't have that much time in our red car with them. But I have them on a number of customers Mustangs and other cars. In two years we have had zero issues with the quality. I did have them send us an incorrect perch one time and once we got the wrong spools for the rear shocks. They next day air shipped us replacement parts. I've had no blown seals or leakdowns on them.
