Side note. Thinking of adding that 2.9L Whipple to an 07 GT500 motor. Any issues with that much boost? I think stock is around 8psi, what is this one?

I ran 23lbs through my 2.9L on my stock 07 GT500 motor without a problem. Typical 2.9L guys are running about 17-18lbs and it's totally safe. 750-800rwh is about where they're not "safe" anymore.

Yeah, 17-18 psi is safe, especially with a nice rich tune.
GF's car is running 14 psi right now, putting down 550-560 rwhp, we're gonna be upping that by next year.
A buddy has an '08 GT500 with a 2.8L Kenne Bell, running 17 psi, putting down almost 650 rwhp

Agreed, I run about 24psi on mine for the street (e85) and its right around 770rwhp, For the track (road course) its around 15psi (e85) and 650rwhp.

I've considered the Whipple 2.9L since I already have a TVS on my vert and can experiment with a pulley/lower on that later. I would probably like to be around 650rwhp and then now I'm planning on LT's (if my emissions run around works out).

I do already have the FRPP 65mm TB.

I saw the Whipple over on SVTP, which I'll look into. If I test fit it and the stock hood doesn't close, I'll figure something out.

Nah, I'll be sticking with a S/C - no turbos for cam.

As for the thru-the-hood look. ill pass. Lol

Side note, I just picked the car up this morning from one dealership and drove it 40 miles to the store I normally work at and it rode smooth-as butta but I am having a problem. Between 2-3K RPM 3rd gear or higher, and more than 50% throttle it starts bucking. I'm guessing this could be tune related?

I'm trying to think of what to do since all the datalogging isn't getting much done.

If they're not seeing anything in the datalogs, then they're having you log the wrong parameters. There's something going on with fuel or air, and there are enough sensors there to pick it up. It's just a matter of logging the right one.

Just trailer it down to my place and I'll take it to see Dyno Dan at Pro-Dyno. He'll be at Mustang week too if you want to trailer it there and have him tune it.

The more I pay attention it seems to be every gear it likes to surge at lower RPMS. The power isn't able to be delivered in a linear manner.

I didn't like the new Tahoe at all until I started driving one as a demo. The looks of the front are a little hard to get past but after spending a good amount of time with it, it has begun to grow on me. The interior is a bazillion times better than the previous generation too.

I wish I had time. I'm not even going to be able to make it to MW this year. Zero down time for my entire summer.
