What have you done to your mustang today?

Installed a new to me Whiteline rear sway bar. It was pretty beat up so I painted it before installing...

Over the last month or so, I stripped off all of the Plasti Dip on my car, removed the JBA X and Outlaw axle backs. Factory H and some GT500's from jewc75 are on there now, and it is as quiet as mass on Sunday. Essentially the car looks and sounds pretty stock.

Plans for lunch with some Stang buddies fell through today, so I hit up Home Depot for some more dip, and started over.

5.0 badges - 7 coats of black
Pony in grille - 6 coats of black
Hood vents - 4 coats of primer grey (dip), 4 coats of black
Chrome ring on center tail panel - 3 coats of primer grey (dip) 4 coats of black
Yellow foglight vinyl http://www.jdmfanaticvinyls.com/2013-ford-mustang-gt-svt-precut-yellow-fog-light-overlays-tint/

Cleaned the grille, behind the grille, the vents, where the vents sit, under the hood while the dip was drying, polished the GT500 tips, wiped down the entire car, and did the exterior glass.

I have learned quite a bit from watching the videos on YouTube from DipYourCar.com and other channels. I took my time with this from taping correctly to the proper spray technique to drying time and tape/paper removal. It turned out really nicely. I didn't snap any decent pictures, but I will get some up soon.

I've been slowly removing all my dip too, but i don't plan on replacing any of it.
The only dipped items still on my car are the front fender badges and the exhaust tips.
I'm looking into different badges altogether, but the tips will probably stay as they are, since i love how i never clean them and they still look good

Finally installed the fender emblems I designed. I originally wanted them made from stainless steel, but the companies that could make what I wanted were insanely expensive - $350 to $450. So I designed some in CAD and sent them to a 3d printing company in France - polished and then painted them.

They are an exact scale replacement of the GT emblem.

What do you guys think? She's Kenne Bell boosted.

Also, finally finished my trunk cover. I hated that my wife's Infiniti had a nice cover over the sheet metal of her trunk lid while ours is just there in all it's "unfinishedness." So I made one. Routed the wiring in between the sheet metal panels (obviously had to lengthen some of the connections) and then mounted my panels.

I just couldn't find one that satisfied my desires - I wanted something clean, simple and flush.

Not much in materials, but a whole bunch of time on both.

Designing the emblems in CAD didn't take too long. The 3d printing company charged me $42 to produce the emblems... but turns out polished plastic isn't very "polished." They required a lot of prep and it was painstaking because I had to maintain the appropriate edging and didn't want to screw up the 1 mm detail relief.

The trunk lid cover, about $30. Making the patten took the most time. A nice side benefit is the trunk has a better clunk sound when you close it - less metal rattle... <G>

I have done a "mini-makeover" on the car over the last few weeks. I am going to post some when I get her cleaned up, hopefully later this week.

I have never done any vinyl work until this little project. I was actually a little hesitant to do it, since I am not usually good at stuff like this. I get bubbles putting on bumper stickers! But it was actually fairly easy. I used the pre-cut piece from American Muscle, and a generous amount of soapy water. The vinyl was fairly easy to work with, however, I did have my wife help me out. There is NO WAY I would even think about doing it with out a helper.

Made some good progress on my Kooks 1-7/8s longtube install. Got the drivers side manifold out along with the studs, got the starter out. Just need to take out the passenger side motor mount and I think im golden to get that manifold out too. Easy so far, idk what everyone complains about. lol

I used my studs and stock gaskets and it worked awesome
