hi I have a 2007 mustang built on 10/06 and was wondering if I was lucky enough to get the body with the better structure support. idk when they started doing that so wanted to know if I had that or since it was made late 2006 I don't have the better chassis.. I researched this for a coupe days and different sites and haven't found a 100% answer. your answers will be greatly appreciated. I want to do a coyote swap or an 07-09 gt500 swap not sure yet....

What car/part to buy is not tech on this forum.

No I'm not asking what set up to get. I want to know if my production date is one that comes with the stiffer chassis. Its production date is 10/06. But it's an 07. I know the 07 and up had a better chassis because of the gt500. But since mine was late 06 idk if it does. Mind you, like I said it's an 07. But built in late 06.

The only thing that qualifies as tech on this forum are things where the car is actually apart and you need to know how to fix something.

We value the quality of our tech around here. Asking about a feature of your car based on the year because you're curious isn't tech.

But maybe you need to hear it from some more people.

You can't move it.

Considering Gt500 deliveries started May 2006...... Yes, any improvements would have been incorporated.

2 mins on google you could have found it out.

I'm pretty sure the GT500's had hit the streets by October of 2006 so I would think that it would have some of the improvements.
In the spare tire well, do you have a set of studs for a second fpdm on the passenger side? The main one is on the driver's side.

Unless it's a GT500 there shouldn't be anything there.

I understand that, so that does mean I have the stronger chassis of the s197s then correct?

I can't say for sure but it shows that it has some of the running production changes necessary for the GT500

Why can't the "tech" forum be renamed to "Tech Support". I think it would help avoid some of the confusion and would be more representative of what is trying to be accomplished.

I owned a very early built '07 GT and it had the upgraded chassis. I believe that all '07's had the upgraded structure that Ford rolled for the intro of the GT500.

Are the chassis improvements going to make that much of a difference between the 05-06 and the 07+?

What was the date earlier then may? Mine is October of 06

Apparently what I have read it does make a difference and I am also planning on doing a GT500 swap that is why am also asking these questions I know to some it might be stupid but I just want to know. If it is that will help when doing the swap and the car handiling. The new found power
