I recently installed 3.73's and though i think the car woke up a lot i am wondering if i should go back to 3.15's as i am about to purchase a Circle D 5C converter-
With the converter 4,200 stall my goal would be 11.50...So should i stick with the current 3.73's or switch to the 3.15's? I have 28" Nitto 555R's
I am running MAP Tune now and then....
Your thoughts and direction are appreciated-

You are asking the same question that has been asked several times, there are multiple threads about this same very question. If you still have a question after reading the threads bump one of them with your question. Quit making new threads, please.

Now someone will follow me by telling you what an idiot you are and how dumb your question is. Put your flamesuit on.

I wouldn't say rude at all we have gotten pretty soft as of late when it comes to data that's all over the forum already. The standard is still "search mother fucker" lol and there are tons of threads with this info.

I guess the obvious question is why spend money on gears when you have no idea how your current setup would work with the new converter?

Good question...its just i keep reading about many members w/Circle D converters and 3.15/3.31 gears and their mph's are up over 115 for most of them...
i keep being told that the 3.73's are slowing me down...so i just wanted some input-
But i will not make a switch till the converter goes in....
Thanks for your thoughts-

So then why aren't you listening? Many have installed 3.73's before you with poor results and thus switched back to 3.15's or 3.31's. A search would have given you the answer you were looking for. Ask your tuner his thoughts as he's spoken out about it already on more than one occasion.

And a 5C isn't going to stall at 5000 rpm.

The scary part is that he's a manager at a Ford dealership according to his forum profile page.

You will eventually learn how this forum runs. This place isnt for the weak. Seriously though there are tons of threads with the info you seek. The guys who have done the testing arent going to keep replying to every thread just because you want them to.
