Just a heads up, that design is about the weakest possible way to make and adjustable LCA.

Attaching (welding) a small thread to a large housing, is not a good idea.

For the price, you're MUCH better off buying a quality product from BMR. I wouldn't trust the ones you found at Amazon.

If you're looking for a deal, find some used BMR LCAs. My GT500 LCAs work fine for my minimal mods and someone let me have them dirt cheap.

I can see where SPC's design may be "inferior" to other designs. But, it would take a whole lot for the welds on those arms to give out. I was trying to get more info from Kelly in regards to this type of LCA's design flaws. I know welds break under harsh abuse, but I know SPC does not make garbage.

BMR's products are top notch, no doubt. I'm running the adjustable panhard and strut tower brace. There are also other manufacturers that make quality parts at a decent price. I myself cannot really afford to shell out $250+ for a set of adjustable LCA's. But $150 for something that I know will hold up well? Can't pass that up.

i have adjustable lowers. for one thing, if you've ever measured the distance from wheel center to wheel center, front to back, you might be surprised how much difference there is. adjustable lowers allows you the ability to dial in the distances precisely the same, along with still giving the ability to adjust pinion angle.

obviously you don't need both to be adjustable, upper and lower.

I am assuming this is only an issue once someone adds relocation brackets into the mix. I do not see those dimensions being very far off with the stock axle mounts and fixed LCA's.

mine was off about 1/2'' from side to side before relocation brackets. I'm the only owner and the car has never been wrecked, other than hitting a deer which was minor damage.

What I recommend is, find out what your thrust angle is. If it is between .25 and -.25.....then fixed LCA is fine. Anything over that, I recommend (although not "needed") having adjustable LCA to dial it in and square it up. But typically, yes, what you asked.....fine for most applications.

Happens all the time. We test a lot of parts on local cars (and of course our own) and we see 1/4" or so variations quite often. 1/2" is a little more rare, but I have seen it.

I recently had a customer bring me his car, with only lowering springs installed. Axle was off 3/8" from side to side. (wheelbase)

I've had this conversation with guys before on here about adj lowers and everyone thought they're a waste of time. At least you are able to confirm that there is frequently cars with wheelbases that are off. Thanks.
