You get $.50 off a gallon at Kroger with your plus card or something? Lol

$0.30, but that still means it was $2.71/gallon at full price. I about pissed myself last month when I filled up and paid $2.91. I remember paying $5+/gallon after a hurricane in Florida in 2006-7 so the lower it goes the happier I get.

I even let my car warm up for 5 minutes this morning so it would be warm when I got in it. I typically let it warm up for the high idle to drop, but I mean that I literally let the inside temperature get to a comfortable temperature while I was inside making coffee.

Congrats man! Great feeling

 sweet!!!!

Thanks guys ... we can't wait to put our beasts inside ... the closing isn't scheduled till mid-December, so they'll either stay outside till then or go into temporary storage for a couple weeks, which would cost us almost $300 for both ... I think they might just sit outside.

But once we get the keys, they'll be the first items to find a home in there, as we start the renovation ... adding columns to the front, changing windows, flooring, cabinetry, all kinds of stuff ...

Congrats, Gabe!

A great feeling being a homeowner!

I'm jealous of the garage. It wasn't in the cards when I moved :(

Have fun with all the renovations. You'll make it truly yours.

Thanks John ... yeah, we're psyched about the 2-Mustang garage :) ..... and we looked for somewhat of a fixer-upper just for that reason. Lisa and I both have our tastes that don't tend to match a lot of the "done" homes out there, so doing it this way we'll end up with something we'll love.
At least that's the plan, lol

When I relocated to missouri from Kentucky a couple years ago we, like you, couldn't find anything existing that suited our needs. Luckily the market was still depressed so we were able to build just about our dream house within budget. Still kick myself for not springing for the three car garage though.

Congrats Gabe!

Congratulations Gabe, on with the joys and pains of home ownership!

Good luck Gabe!

Thanks guys, we're looking forward to making this "us"

Congrats Gabe!

How slanted is that slope to get from the driveway up those stone slabs?

Thanks Cam ... there's enough of a slope that we are planning on redoing that area with real steps .... not looking forward to walking up that slope when it's all iced up.

There's large brick laid down right against the house making a nice walkway but the end of it needs to be redone with steps. Right now it's got a small flower bed right there and then it drops down.
We're gonna end up with 2 different step-up areas, 2 different ways to walk up to the entrance from the driveway
