bassani long tube headers

I have been thinking of going long tube headers for a while now. i bought bassani modular off road x pipes this summer to go on my stock manifolds because i wanted more noise. bassani goes perfectly with my roush off road mufflers. I would like to go with the bassani stainless steal ceramic coated long tubes. they go for about 900 bucks. anyone ever run them? curious to know about ground clearance/ fitment and if there are any other issues with them before i buy. planning on buying them this coming summer. any opinions?

I have them with offroad x pipe and roush mufflers. Great quality and sound great
Fitment is great, they come as separate tubes instead of all 4 connected together so it leaves you with alittle more room to work with.
Im lowered on roush springs and have some trouble scraping but only if its a tall speedbump.

nice to see someone with the same setup. I also plan on doing the roush 427r suspension, so good to know that i will still have reasonable clearance when i do that. how does the whole separate pipe thing work on the tubes? ive never heard of that. are all the bassani long tubes like that because it sounds like thats exactly what i'd want. also do you have the stainless steel ones with ceramic coating? thats what i was aiming for. the only thing that has been holding me back is that i have heard that they tend to rot out after a year or so. also how is the access to the clutch? will i be able to change it with them on? or will i have to partly remove the tubes as most long tubes require?
sorry for all the questions, but you have the exact same setup as me so this is exactly what i was looking for!

Each primary tube is bolted to the head by itself. Then the collector is slid over the ends of the tubes.

also do you have the stainless steel ones with ceramic coating? thats what i was aiming for. the only thing that has been holding me back is that i have heard that they tend to rot out after a year or so.

I've got JBA long tubes that I had ceramic coated for peace of mind. The coating will definitely help keep heat flowing through the pipes instead of letting it into the engine bay and will prolong the life of the pipes. I think you're thinking of headers wrapped with exhaust wrap, which 9/10 people on the forum will say is a no no.

no i think that the bassani come stainless steel with ceramic coating. thats what the website says anyway. found them on lethal performance for $900 and CJ pony for $950

If you're doing headers you might as well have them ceramic coated IMO.

I didn't really notice any difference installing those versus a set of Macs on my buddies car. Both sets were installed with the engine on the stand. The biggest help was when I had to pull the bellhousing I was able to slide the collector off to get enough clearance instead of having to pull the entire header. I'll add that this was on my Cobra.

Had a set on my car. I had issues with exhaust leaks. Initially they were great, but because we took my engine out several times, every time we put the engine back in and then re-installed the headers, fitment at the collector got worse. In the end I could not get rid of the leaks at the collector, tossed em and got a set Kooks. If your planning on installing them and then just leaving them you should be fine, but if you plan on having to pull the engine for anything be prepared.

thanks for the info guys. i think i am going to buy them in a month or two. no rush since i wont be able to instal them till it gets closer to summer anyway. my only remaining question is about the clearance for changing a clutch. will i need to remove them if i need to change my clutch? eventually im going to go boost and will likely need something more than my stock clutch. i know alot of full length headers require to remove the passenger side one? any one know if i need to do anything funky with these to remove it? or can they just be left in place in order to change it?
