How to identyfi 2006 V6 Mustang rear. Is it 7,5" or 8,8 " rear? Need to install Traction Loc.

it's a 7.5, make sure when you get the posi and/or gears it's for a 7.5" rear end.

It should say it on the gear housing what size it is.....i believe.

And hi to Shadowmaster from another forum(maverick), he give me advice and this forum address.
But abot this v6 rear. I find several numbers on those labels...
v6 rear: 3.31(gear); V272-P ; 6198
gt rear: 3.31; ; V237-W ; 7270

All the numbers after the gears, most likely part numbers.

the v6: 3.31, it's got those gears, that has to be on a manual v6 (any year), or automatic v6 from 07 and up.

GT rear end: 3.31 stock gears on an automatic.

any other v6 questions man? this section hasn't gotten used much since that dumbass mean71cuda made that ridiculous thread...
