Haha, thanks Doug. The only car I like stripes on are the Shelbys and well...

Lol, I know I know. I will let it marinate for a while and see what happens

The traditional white. I think it would look nice as a contrast to the black accents already done to the car. Tungsten is a close second.

I have several friends plus my girlfriend, all Shelby owners, who are firm believers that a Shelby is not a Shelby unless it has stripes.

Me, I like the cars both ways, with or without stripes.

However, in your car's case, if I WAS to do stripes on it, I would only consider black, to match all the other black accents on the car already.

I think white would stick out too much, and would add a third color to the theme, making the whole look "busy"

craziness.

I've been to cars and coffee with both my previous '12 GT500 and this one and people said it was a clone since it didin't have stripes.

true story.

Ha, I have a similar experience. At a mustang car show, guy comes up to me and tells me that I did a great job cloning. The sad part is that the hood was open the whole time... SMH

People think Shelby must equal stripes. Anything else doesn't compute.

LOL

I originally took them off because they were in bad shape when I bought the car (torn, nicks, etc...) and well I have always been a huge fan of the clean look. I love the car as is, but I also like stripes on Shelbys. I'm torn, lol.

If you decide to put them back on have them painted on and cleared to be seamless. It a completely different look then tape.

I agree... As much as I like the silvery grey on a blue car, they should maybe be in matte black since there's already so many black accents the car.

I like all different looks with Mustangs... they were meant to be individualized. If they all had stripes or all were without it'd get boring fast...... variety is good.

But once you put cobra emblems and stripes on a v6 then its a Shelby lol

Lol, sad but true

Yeah, I'm thinking matte black might be the route to take. Not too flashy, but yet still carry just a lil Shelby flair. Thanks for the input.

This, or even the reflective matte stripes like the 13+ cars have.

But my official opinion is no stripes!

If any of you ever collected sneakers or wore Jordan's back before they sucked, you may remember that some of them (in various colors) had a 3M reflective coating that, like the Boss stripes, reflected light. I would LOVE to see transparent stripes done with the 3M costing. No visible stripes until you whisk by someone and for a split second when their headlights hit your car as you pass they think to themselves "Did that car have stripes?" And then when they catch up next to you at the next light, "Guess I was seeing things."

I say satin black stripes, just leave off the side stripes

That looks outstanding! Love the seats as well, very nice!

I have decided that I am going to leave it as is. I just don't have a good fuzzy feeling about the whole stripe thing to the point of committing to do it. I do love how clean it looks now. It will stay put. Thanks to all who gave input on it.

I have some other plans in the mix though, involving some 345/35 MT that should keep me busy. :evillaugh:

They just sent me this photo... stripes are finished on the hood, they aren't quite done with the back. Matte black for the wide stripes and matte dark grey for the pins. I was trying for a retro look and I think I got it. They'll finish that up in the morning and then the CQuartz Finest gets applied...
