Welp, DRock posted the vented fenders before I could so I do apologize haha. I've been working on this project since August and researching how to do this since the beginning of last year, so it wasnt my intention to copy cat.

Anyways, with some reading from these great forums (mainly from one eyed willy) while I was deployed I decided to go ahead and pull the trigger on the conversion. First deployment went to performance so I figured this deployment would go to aesthetics.

This is my 2006 GT that I decided to use a 2014 GT500 front end for the conversion. I'm not a poser so out of respect for GT500 owners I blacked out the snake. I couldnt remove it or else I would have. From looking at all the other front ends for the 2010+ years I just decided this was the best looking one for me. I also went ahead and put the vents in as I had them before and always loved how they give it a little flare. I had the headlights done by hidretrofitlights.com. Seeing as the 2014 headlights are unbelievably expensive I went with these. Projector HID's were installed and the lights are painted black on the inside, not tinted. This got rid of my "gay" headlights that were flamed on in a recent thread lmao.....no harm. Also, some of you might not like the fender stripes but I do haha, so I kept them.

I also went ahead during the weekend and installed the 2014 door panels. I dont know what all the fuss is about with fitment issues. In my opinion they matched up surprisingly well. I did have to drill out some different mounting locations on some of the screws on the side but it took all of 10 minutes. The only pigtail I needed was the windows and all I did was look at a 05' and 10' wiring diagram and de-pinned the old connector and installed them in the new one. No splicing necessary. Unfortunately the one touch auto up/down doesn't work but I can live with that.

Pictures were done in a rush but what do you guys think?

Car looks great, I really like the door panels. My only criticism is I think your chrome gas cap looks out of place, especially the 3/4 shot were you can see the chrome gas cap as well as the faux cap but that is just my personal opinion of course.

Another pic I took a couple days ago. Weather has been horrible here but not as bad as other parts I admit.

shit lol. i guess im gonna have to go the same route

I have my old ones that are pictured in my sig and fit great. There yours but shipping freight isn't cheap.

Looks good, how is the driver side panel working out?

Hopefully it will be here by this weekend. I have the window switch pigtail already, just waiting on the panel. I love how it came out though. Had to do some slight tweaking but over all looks great and the only noticeable place really is the bottom if your really looking at it.

Did you get this done in KC? I ask because my buddy owns a body shop there and I think I remember seeing your car there last summer. Turned out great!
