Well I have this weekend cruiser with 4.10 gears, CAI, manifold-back exhaust, CMDP, BAMA 93 race tune, Eibach springs, and now FRPP Hot Rod cams. I took a video of the absolute first start up with the new cams and soon I want to do a video of what it's like to drive a S197 with mods like this to educate people on what to expect out of your Mustang when doing standard street mods. Anyway, here is the first start up with the new cams.

Thanks! They're the Charcoal AMR wheels. 20x10 in the rear and 20x9 up front.

Very nice Gramps! How to you like the bama tune for the cams? I have similar mods minus the cams. Looking to do cams next, any feedback from the bama tune for the cams would be greatly appreciated. Any plans to do longtubes in the near future?

The Bama tune seems to be doing very well. It does seem to run incredibly rich at idle. I've never tuned an engine like this before so maybe the spark advance is cranked up a bit at idle to assist the engine in running since there is a bit of a choppy idle due to the lobe separation and therefore, more fuel is required? I say that because I did have an engine in another car that liked a lot of spark and fuel at idle. It was running higher compression and a turbo charger. I honestly don't know why the tune would be so rich at idle, that's just a guess. Anyway...

I love how sensitive the throttle is. I feel like I have better control over the car now. Combine that with the CMDP and CAI and the throttle response is very good. I'm looking into getting a larger throttle body soon to make it that much better. The tune with the cams and other mods I have is giving me an average of 17 MPG. I'm okay with that because this isn't my daily driver. Remember, you didn't buy a Mustang for fuel economy. :) The engine feels great throughout the rev range with this tune and as you would expect, it pulls hard from 4000 RPM and on.

I will probably end up getting short tube headers as I already have a manifold-back exhaust and don't want to fork out the dough for long tubes and a new mid pipe. I'm not so concerned with maximum power gains as this is more of a GT cruiser than a track car.

As much money as I keep spending the Detroit Rocker cams are still by far my favorite mod. Get so many compliments, that lope kicks ass. If not for driveability I might get bigger ones. Anyway, sounds awesome! Congrats you'l love them.
