Q 16 ......

Can someone please explain Q 16 fuel ? who makes it ? what is the cost difference between c 16 & Q 16 . Saw a blog on the Turbo forums where Jim SVT is claiming he gained something like 70 rwhp by just changing fuel and nothing else . No added timing or anything . Could someone please try and educate me on this

Well the VP race fuel website answered most of my questions . VP makes it . Price is the same as c 16 . VP claims 3-5 % increase in power on a 1000 hp application . Mybe I just found myself some new fuel ?

Q16 is a slightly oxygenated version of C16. If it is the same Jim SVT that I know of he has a turbo car and the oxygenation of the fuel requires a bit more fuel to hit the same air fuel ratio. That extra fuel creates extra exhaust and spools the turbo more quickly so you make a nice amount of extra power under the curve. You can pick up some up top too.

Excellent explanation. You beat me to it. The Q16 is being used successfully by several top turbocharged teams. When Steve Petty told me, "This is some good shit, man" I knew it was worth checking into.
