Last night I ordered a 'whole house' carbon filter for my water system from Amazon hoping to reduce or eliminate the sulfur smell.

If that carbon filter does not work you may want to look into a chlorine injection system. That is what I used to get rid of the smell at my place.

I have the chlorine tank off the old system, trying to avoid using it if I can. Not sure if the pump even works any more.

Picked up our wine/ wine glass/ beer glass/ liquor/ other shit cabinet today. It's 3 separate pieces and I screwed them all together before hanging. Should have seen my ass struggling to hold it level while holding the drill. Luckily the wife was there to hand my the drill. Still need to install the crown molding. It kinda blends into to the wall but we got it to match our kitchen cabinets.

^ My house had white everything when I bought it and I hated it. If your wife likes decorating and adding her own color splashes then it can work, but I'm a guy. I had white floors, white walls, white cabinets, white doors, white trim and white ceilings. It was awful! Definitely works better with some color to break it up.

BTW, I like the wood floors. Looks like the mutt does, too.

Yeah I don't think we really thought about how similar the colors would be before we ordered the cabinets, we just wanted to match the existing cabinets. It does look worse in the picture. Now that the cabinets are up the wife is wanting some recessed lighting in that area

I have a question for you guys who know about this type of stuff. We are remodeling the condo we bought. I found the perfect vanity top, great price and the right color. It is a double sink - my wife likes that idea, but this is what I am working with (we weren't planning to replace the vanity) With the drawers, will a double sink fit?

would have to see underneath,

My guess, is if the draws on the top right and left are functional, the sinks/drains will prevent them from closing.

I'll presume that you measured the length and that works out to fit

As noted above, the drawers will probably interfere with the double sinks. You could probably remove the face of the drawers from the drawer themselves & just attach the face of the drawer to the vanity. That may give you the room to get the sink & plumbing in. You would have to do some measuring to make sure everything fits.

If you wanted to modify the drawers, you could also look at doing a drawer half the depth, or just a "drawer" that flips out with a pocket big enough for toothbrushes, combs, etc.

The wife and I did the same thing a number of years ago. I made the left and right side drawers as well as the center blank section into flip outs similar to what most kitchen sinks have, the hardware and backside "shelf" is available at most box stores.

The line side supply for hot and cold is easy enough, just make sure to install a "P" trap on each sink and not a single common "P" trap.

If you're really good you can swap out one of the drawers for the blank in the center section, giving you a drawer in the middle and blanks on each end where the sinks are.

Thanks, great ideas. I was thinking that I might have to modify the left and right drawers (haven't had a chance to measure - working Monday through Friday about 2 hours away right now). The half drawer or flip out both sound like good options.

Yessir I'm still alive. Those are trimmed. lol.

Hmmm, they look overgrown to me, but that might be normal for your area. The evergreen needs to be trimmed away from the house. You don't want stuff touching the exterior.

Yeah, I haven't messed with the tree at all. The shrubs though are way down. You should go look at my "new house" thread and look at the first pics. It was bad.
