What have you done to your mustang today?

Changed the oil (3rd time). Holy shit what a fucking pain in the ass that was! The miniature oil filter is too small for my wrench. It is also placed in such a way that even with a drip pan under it the fucking oil went ALL over my fucking garage floor. Then my oil drain pan is a standard 5-6 quart and the Mustang holds 8 quarts so it was filled to the brim. While trying to slide it out from under the car I spilled another quart of oil. So I stopped and grabbed my siphon pump to draw off some oil and the siphon pump started leaking, resulting in yet more oil on the floor. I was about 1" away from just dumping the entire fucking oil pan on the floor, it would have been faster!

Holy fuck I have never in my life had such a difficult time changing oil in a vehicle. And I just did a 20 quart oil change in the bucket truck on Saturday, spilled almost nothing except a few drips from the two quart filter. I may just run this bitch till it dies and trade it in rather than change the oil again.

I realize you may trade in the car before changing the oil again, but... a good trick for the oil filter is to place a zip lock bag around it. When you loosen it, all the oil will fall into the bag and not the floor.

Sorry you had a rough time, I hate getting oil on my floor.

Yeah, I've been changing oil for over 35 years and never had to resort to the ziplock bag thing. Always use a rag and move quick but this one dumps a lot more than most. Then the fucking access panel hangs directly in the drip zone so it gets covered with oil as well and splatters it even further.
