Most you have run on your stock TR3650?

Mine held up to 850 rwhp for about a year, only hit the track 4 times with M&H drag radials, only problem I was having is it wouldn't shift past 6000 rpms after that it wouldn't come out of it until rpms dropped.

Good to hear of another real-world example. I won't be hitting the track until I get the TR6060 and other supporting mods.

Sorry to resurrect my own thread fellas, but it is directly related.
BruceH...I took the plunge and have a 2008 TR6060 reman on the way!
I have to change to the McLeod RXT 26 spline, and grab some other supporting mods:
- one piece driveshaft
- moser 31 spline axles
- trade in my unused MGW shifter for the proper GT500 shifter

Any reason for the axle change? You already have 31 spline from the factory and they are pretty strong.

Thanks for the reply. I would be quite happy to not have do spend the cash. Many posts around the interweb seemed to comment on them being a weak link that could lead to a wheel rolling off down the strip. If they can hold up to 850rwhp I guess I'm all set

Edit: I checked around a bit more on this forum and see others reporting a good longevity with these axles as well. Thanks Bruce. Just saved me some cash!

In the event of a broken axle, the brake caliper will hold the axle in so you'd have to have a seriously catastrophic failure for an axle to actually come out and lose a wheel.

Generally if you're going to break an axle it'll happen on the starting line as that's where the most grip and torque are being applied to them. If that happens you'll just sit there.

I am not sure which driveshaft to get now that I have a GT differential, but a GT500 transmission, do I get the GT500 or GT driveshaft?

Both are 6 bolt, but nothing is mentioned about length, etc, so I'm kind of lost here.

EDIT:
I found some other threads that confirm the GT500 shaft is shorter and will work fine in the swap.
I see that BruceH had a splined shaft that allowed adjustment.
