Has anyone ever used a stock gt500 throttle with the bbk option in the Sct 7015? Just curious if anyone has done it and what was the results? I have one coming and gonna give it ago.

Make sure you keep your tools and programmer with you, in case it throws it into limp mode when you're way down the street and you can't drive back.

Just curious if it would work mostly. I got the tb for $30 probably go on the shelf when I'm done for future use.

Have I done it, no. Should it work, yes. I'm basing this on the sct value files for the GT500 and 62mm FRPP throttle bodies. They are the same. If SCT is using their own value files (which they should be) then it's going to work, probably.

Probably the most important thing adjusting the tune is going to do is give the ecu an accurate prediction of airflow for the detected tb blade angle. If the airflow is off by a certain amount (I think it's 10% but can't remember for sure) then the car is going into limp mode to protect the motor.

Increase in airflow correct? You think 2mm would be more than 10%? Bbk is 62mm if I remember correctly and gt500 is 60mm. I don't really care if it does or don't work. I just picked it up for $30 bucks to have. Seemed like a good deal.

What I was saying is that the sct value files used for tuning are the same when it comes to the 60mm gt500 or 62mm FRPP tb. Since the bbk is 62mm I would think that it would also use the same file. I have no way of knowing for sure though because there isn't a way to see what sct uses in the pre loaded tuner files.
