Finished up the process today. Now I have to run new tailpipes cause these ain't clearing.

Just got the driver airbag inflator recall done on the Shelby.
Took less than an hour, including the tech putting the car up in the air for the required multi-point inspection, hoping they'd find stuff to upsell me.
They found nothing.
Recall itself took about 10 minutes once the tech actually started it.

I've got to schedule an appointment myself. Just got a letter a little while ago saying the passenger side is also being recalled once replacement parts are available. Probably another year wait like the driver side.

Got my airbag recall done last Friday, took 10 min. Put my Car on the alignment rack after installing steeda strut mounts. Only thing that was off was the right toe by .6 deg. All good now.

In other news I finally mounted and Balkanized my new tires on my steeda rims. Now I need to plasti dip them black, I hate chrome, and put them on my car.

Mine does that also but not as bad. Did you get a new tune when you put the new pulley on? With headers and a free flowing exhaust like off road pipes there is little back pressure and that can cause the popping in the exhaust. My HD does it also.

Ok here is the info on line. I have it in the old Boss Mustang books that Ford put out years ago. Here are two that I found.

Mine does that also but not as bad. Did you get a new tune when you put the new pulley on? With headers and a free flowing exhaust like off road pipes there is little back pressure and that can cause the popping in the exhaust. My HD does it also.

This is the Shelby. The tune was done when the TVS went on.
We like exhaust popping/crackling and told our tuner, he did something in the tune to provoke it more.
When the car is cold like in the video, it does it more, and it can be quite loud ... sounds like gunshots sometimes ... freaking love it!

Stock exhaust other than KR mufflers, by the way

Total BS, I stood next to the tech last Friday when mine was done, they did it in the lot and never even pulled it into the shop. Two bolts under the caps on the side of the steering wheel, unhook the battery, four little bolts holding the inflator in the horn pad. Reverse and done. It really is 5-10 minutes.

Required by who? Reminds me of a time I had my truck in for A/C issue and they offered the free 21 point inspection. The service manager came out with a dire look on his face. Said after the inspection it needed all new belts and a new compressor to the tune of $900. I told him to get me my truck and he was a fucking thief. I had put new belts on the truck myself a week earlier. I went around the block to a gas station, they put in $15 worth of refrigerant and the A/C was fine from then on.

If you don't mind driving, Keystone Ford in Chambersburg, PA is the only dealer I'll let touch my Mustang.

I hate car dealerships in general (sorry Cam). And my family had two of them at one time years ago... I know there are good ones out there, but they seem few and far between.

For example, this week, I had to order a few parts from my local Ford store on short notice (or else I would have ordered them from Tasca), and it turns out that I did not need one of the parts that I had ordered. I mean, I never even took possession of the part! The dealership charged me a 20% restock fee for NOT taking said part. They said that is what Ford charges them, so they have to pass along the cost to me, the customer. I dunno if he was being truthful or not, but either way, it's total BS.

Not to say all dealers are like this but the few that still do are just aholes.

Had a friend who recently took his Porsche to a dealer for service and told him he needed alternator fluid. LOL

Every time I take my car in they can't schedule the service - they just have me drop it off early in the morning, do burnouts and donuts and revv the cold engine all day, and I pick it up after work.

But I got the new blower belt on, the new 170-degree Reische thermostat is in, the new hydro-dipped engine coolant tank is in, and I've removed the alternator belt and tensioner, they'll be replaced tomorrow if the new ones ever freakin' get here.

So, half way there:
