05-09 part # 4R3Z-7A508-AA; 11-14 part # BR3Z-7A508-B. Aftermarket slave cylinders are listed for 05-14. Can I use the FoMoCo 11-14 slave on my 08? Ordering the parts for my clutch change and the 11-14 part is about $130 cheaper than the 05-09!

Yes, you can use the 11-14 slave on an 05-10 car. I've done it myself.

Going to install an Exedy Mach 400 clutch and most likely a Ram billet steel flywheel, will I have to shim the slave?
