I have a 2007 mustang gt with the 5 speed manual transmission. My motor is blown and I would like to swap it to a 5.0. Will the 1st gen coyote bolt up without fabricating a new oil pan. Also would I be able to keep my transmission? If anyone has any advice, or experience doing this I'd love to hear from you

I've been researching my 4.6 to 5.0 swap as well. Your trans will bolt up, coyote will bolt in. The big hiccups are fuel and wiring.

• PBH '11+ Coyote Alternator kit: SWAP-ALT-SC (if not included with engine)
• PBH Dakota Digital Speedometer Signal Interface: PCP-SPEEDO
• PBH Coyote Swap Fuel System: PBH-FSS197
• ’11-’14 GT Kooks 1-3/4" Long tube Headers & Midpipe

Some of the major challenges of the swap are: power steering, wiring, PATS bypass, and check engine light due to some inputs the pcm wont recognize (fuel level p0460 code). Wiring and pcm programming are the toughest hurdles.

It really does not seem like its worth the effort and cost. What is wrong with the original motor, beside "blown"? Is the block windowed? Heads damaged? etc

Throw a junkyard replacement in the car and add a supercharger

Throw a junkyard replacement in the car and add a supercharger

Or buy a junkyard engine, have the cylinders rehoned, rebuilt it with new rod & main bearings/billet oil pump gears/forged rods & pistons with new rings, add your favourite supercharger kit, and get a custom dyno tune. The engine will then have no problem surviving as much as 700rwhp and the drivetrain will be the next weakest link to deal with.

.

We just swapped a Gen 1 into my 07. You can watch some of it here.

Theres other videos on there too, you just have to look for them. They are at part 3 in that video. I have ran into a issue with the hyd throw out bearing spacing not being correct with the flywheel clutch we used.

I watched that whole series. They didn't really finish the install on video. What wiring issues did they run into? I have a factory harness that i got with my motor, wondering what all I'll need to make that harness work?

Dude!!! No where near 10K... You can do it well under $5000.00 I've started the documentation, the parts list and the work.

uhhh no.. Go to EPAss for $250.00, pats bypass for $25.00 by using forscan, and the check engine as well. PCM programming is a mail order tune from Lund and working with power by the hour. In addition there are several brothers on this forum that help with the wiring. You can do the repinning if you like if you have a bit of patience or get the harness from Power by the hour for $999. A coyote has a 100HP advantage over a 3v at any level and then some. I should have over 500 to the wheels for no more than $5000.00

PATS bypas with Forscan? Please elaborate. Forscan can program keys if you are using a coyote instrument cluster. Forscan cannot disable/bypass PATS.
Lito does not do coyotes. I contacted him about mine.

Let me fix this list.
• Control Pack: M-6017-504V (engine and transmission harness with EEC used ) $500.00 or less
• Coyote Swap Accessory Drive bracket kit: No. dump the power steering and use Epass that will have the wiring included in the one you buy from the salvage yard.
• PBH '11+ Coyote Alternator kit: Should come with engine or use the Boss 302 kit for $220
• PBH Dakota Digital Speedometer Signal Interface: (included with the PBH harness or repin of stocker)
• PBH Coyote Swap Fuel System: don't need a fuel system.( fixed with a custom tune)

• ’11-’14 GT Kooks 1-3/4" Long tube Headers & Midpipe (if you want but there are tons of used headers on facebook market place and the forums for well under $500. Or just use the factory coyote manifolds and x pipe.

• ’11-’14 GT MBRP XP Catbacks Street Version (use your current exhaust connected to your midpipe)

If you shop around there are tons and tons of parts out there. Lots of take out coyote engines for $3000.00 and less. There are two f150 engines with harness for $1800 here locally.
And in the above list you could also get a 11-13 under dash harness and swap that out and eliminate the need for repining or an aftermarket harness.

Again shop. The truly biggest issue is the wiring but that is overcome with asking fellow members here, and asking power by the hour who are incredibly helpful.
They have a conversion harness coming in a couple of months that will be plug and play.

The way I read it was to remove all the keys in forscan and then delete the master key. You are saying that is not correct?
That will not bypass PATS. The PATS module is in the cluster, if it is not there, then PATS needs to be disabled in the pcm.
There is also a PATS disable flag in the tune, that also needs to be set to "disabled". BOTH must be done in order for the car to crank and start.

Sorry didn’t see the price was not listed. That one is $2800 my first one was interested to be built and is being assembled currently.
