Hi there,
Recently, my gauges started to show random behavior, so I went ahead and replaced them all. It's still the same behavior...
But after a few days, my brake lights turned on, and stayed forever on...
I've checked the brake light switch near the pedals - the switch is ok, lights are on.
Removed brake light fuse - lights still on.
So I went to the car electrician to get the car checked.
He traced the culprit to SJB. We opened it, and one of the capacitors was fried.
The electrician ordered a new capacitor, and he hopes that he might fix it.
I'm not so optimistic, so as the title says, what to look for when getting new SJB? Is it a plug-and-play type of job?
Here is a pic of my current one with all numbers/codes
