We had XP, then Vista(believe one of those arn't supported)and now have 11. I checked with SCT and 11arm or something like that isn't usable on pro. I will message them today. I was planning on getting a wideband, but haven't yet.

Mr Sandman,
I too have a 2007
It has a cai
3.73 and it’s tuned for premium
Just last week I took her in for headers and mid pipe and then a retune (early bird bla bla didn’t want to wait till everyone else takes their cars in for work) to the person you mention above as Lito. His work and tunes have been excellent!!! I commend you on doing your own work, I use to, but life dealt me lemons. Anyway I ll be picking up the car today or Saturday and can let you know how she feels. Oh one more thing
stock cams due to she’s a auto (not by choice) and I don’t want to sacrifice low end.

Did you get your wideband and an o2? How is your setup running?

FYI: Reading and writing to the Xcalibrator works from Windows 7 up to 11 without problems.

My opinion, 250$ for mail-in-tune is way overpriced. I pay 300 for a bench tune, that means send in ECU, tuner opens it an tunes it with special device and sends it back. And, HP Tuner is 500.

The local strip is set to open April 12th for test tune. I have a few things to do to get ready but I dont see getting into 12,s.

I would pay Lito for his real- time tunes way before any other means of tuning.
I agree with this. I tuned my own car using SCT PRP and got it dialed in, but his throttle tuning is second to none. Best in the biz for 3vs for a good reason.

You might be surprised if the air is good enough.

My previous 06 ran 12.9s with just an intake and tune with 3.55s in Baytown TX with negative DA. If you haven’t already, up the limiter to 6500, go in with a near empty tank, and check DA before you go.

Baytown was a great track with occasionally great air.

No, I think the HP Tuner is cheap compared to a copy-paste mail in tune. With HP you get hardware and the ability to change the maps by yourself to your personal taste. 99% of driving is low and mid range engine load and the maximum horsepower numbers are just for the record.

Why not both?

I think with HPT, the remote tuner sends you their file that’s readable/editable so it gives you a really good starting point to fine tune to your preferences.

SCT PRP can technically as well, but the remote tuner would need to send you the editable .mtf file, most of which either won’t, or will make you pay extra for.

Sure. Agree.

I once had the opportunity to look into a tune for a supercharged 4 cylinder engine and it was a total disappointment (boost was doubled). The tuner wanted 750€ for it (mail-in).

I know I'm alone with this, but the "Tunes for life" is a fair deal. (Yes, I know that the first tunes after AM bought Bama were awful, the actual are not) I was a Bamachip customer before AM bought it, not sure if HPT was available back then

Just a note about gears. I was very happy with 4:30s in the rear. I’m trying 4:10s now to see if I can pick up a few mph crossing the line.
